I like the way that guys here think that cops should be like Batman, with their magical tool belt, ready to switch in a half second's notice from stun gun to pepper spray, to a real gun.  All while serving in some of the worst shiatholes this side of Beirut.

My second thought was as he mentioned the decline in production he failed to mention that in 2012, excluding April, Albert hit roughly .297, which I would consider very respectable

texas lost series to the awesome twins, white sox, and cubs so their extradivisional record is skewed in that regard.
 
 
So don't count the games when they played lousy.  Good idea.

Depends on if there is a man at first.  

Again, it's not Moreno's and Dipoto's fault that:
 
1. Blanton was dogshit for the first two months of the season. He was 10 times worse than his career averages.
2. Weaver got hurt and lost 3-4 MPH off his fastball.
3. Pujols had an injury that sapped his power and ability to run and hit until recently.
4. Hamilton swinging at pitches well out of the strikezone while not hammering mistakes over the fence.
5. The club's defense turned from one of the bests to one of the worst in the league.
6. Our offense sucking with RISP.
7. The lack of action on the bases while our own catchers can't throw out a runner to save their lives.
8. Madson's rehab went south and is MIA. Frieri is Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde when closing games out.
9. Scioscia has made some of the worst in game decisions I have seen since he has been manager of the team.
10. Aybar, Bourjos, Burnett and others have hit the DL during a time where items 1-9 was present. 
 
Write this season off guys. This team this season is cursed. Just enjoy the team you root for with expectations of a loss, but viewing interest in Trout, Bourjos and some others on the team that they will make something awesome happen before your eyes.

Alcohol makes people do stupid things.  The thought of some drunk angel fan getting up in his face is pretty disheartening.
 
I criticize a lot of actions that Arte has taken.  But I do understand he is an upper-quartile type owner.  The Angels could do a LOT worse.

Great little article.  I am glad someone got some quotes from him.
 
One thing:

Nobody here cares about Albert's St. Louis numbers, Arte.  Except perhaps you and Gubi.  You'd think a marketing genius would understand that.
 
 
Later in the article, talking about Carl Crawford.... It is CLEAR Arte has rabbit ears when he was called cheap for not getting Crawford.  Then he proceeds to overspend the next two years on failures (Hamilton) and relative failures (Pujols).
 
Again, I blame the Angelswin crowd.  They needed their damn Christmas presents under the tree... and Arte listened to them.

I don't need validation!  I want people to admit that they are not as smart as the portray themselves to be.  Last year there was people coming out of the wood work arguing that Bourjos stunk.  I did not initiate this post to reinvigorate the debate.  I thought the debate was stupid from the get go.  The reason I posted this today is because I want to know how many of those so called experts are willing to man up and admit they were wrong.  So far, no one has done that.  In fact, you just want to attack me instead.  We were all these people who insisted that Bourjos stunk?
