Never thought we would see the day where Trout is having a higher strikeout rate than strikeout machine Stanton after like 30 games. But here we are...

Entering today, the overall MLB slash line for hitters this season is .234/.311/.391. For hitters, has been a total of 8,127 hits and 9,447 strikeouts. What a mess right now for hitters, especially when it comes to making contact with the ball. 

No offense but that was like the dumbest move a manager can make with a day off tomorrow by giving a star player who is healthy like Trout the day off.

Ohtani doesn't pitch deep into games, so he's not an ace. An ace should be able to pitch deep into games. It's not because he walks a lot of hitters. There are a lot of guys who walked many hitters that are still aces like Nolan Ryan and Randy Johnson (before he joined the Diamondbacks). But those guys still pitched deep into games. 

I'm shocked outfielders don't play just behind the dirt against him. Even if he lifts the ball in the air his exit velocity is so pathetic that it won't hurt them. Anything he hits over 200ft is basically a lazy flyball.

Trout's back to stealing bases, check. Trout cutting down his strikeouts, not check. Seriously, the strikeouts are starting to get annoying. Should stop hanging out with the strikeout machine Stanton. 

If Ryan had Maddux-like control, he would have had a few Cy Youngs next to his name. His career ERA would have been even lower. Like, a 95-97 mph fastball in a great location where a hitter usually doesn't make good contact wouldn't even be fair. 

Ryan would have won those Cy-Youngs if he played for a team that could score. He had about 3-4 years where he should have won that award but did not have the wins. But you are right if he had more control, especially early on in his career, he would have won multiple.

Doing the little things matters a lot. Passed balls might not go as an error but it could be the difference between 5-7 wins a season.

It feels like all the MLB records that no player wants to have are from guys who were once Angels. Most strikeouts, Reggie Jackson, most walks allowed, Nolan Ryan, and most double plays, Pujols.

May have been separate games that series, or one game. But in short order was getting nailed at second, botching the grounder, and the game ending DP

To top it off he grounded into a double play to end the ballgame.

Of course Pujols took advantage from playing with the juiced baseballs during the steroid era. A few of those home runs that Pujols hit from 2001-2009 would have been deep flyball outs without the juiced baseballs. You would be an idiot to think that Pujols didn't benefited from the juiced baseballs. Trout also benefitted from playing with the juiced baseballs in the 2019 regular season, as well as in 2017.
