I actually think it's been done for about 7 years, and that the 2002 team would of won World Series no matter who was thier manager. Darin Erstad was the manager of that team that season. It was a "team" called  and "team" only meeting when they got off to that horrible start in Seattle that year, that then got them playing some good ball. Mike was lucky to be writing the line up. But he has been given way to much control over baseball operations, which I think thier starting to realize was a bad idea; and that 10 year contract? So he can have a even bigger power trip, get complacent ect. He has to go, we need fresh maybe young blood, that let's he's players play, and not meddle in every game. That's the thing, in 2002 when so many guys went through slumps did he bench them? No he let them work there way out of it, that's only way your going to see and learn how to be successful in the show. So Mike you gotta go.

i think we have a winner

in the 70's, I remember watching a guy named Ryan pitch for the Halos........I still remember being in the area around game time one time and just buying a single ticket. Probably section 400 something -- 401-403 (long time ago - park was different then -- the old Big A) up high behind the plate -- and who's  pitching? Nolan Ryan.....about 18,000 in the park -- probably a July/ August game --- Angels out any contention in the standing -- Ryan pitched a one hitter.
Rules have changed -- probably because of stuff like this -- but it's an absolute shame and a sin that Nolan Ryan isn't in the Hall of Fame as an Angel -- and a California Angel at that.
His best years were with the Halos. Under current rules he's be in as a Halo........I think Texas put the HOF thing in his contract and Ryan got a huge bonus for it. Can't blame him.

I saw Steve Bilko in 1957 at Wrigley 

I hate to admit it, but I was a Los Angeles Angel PCL fan back in l950's when they called Wrigley Field their home.  Was a short time Dodger fan when they invaded LA.  Became a full time Angel in the late '60's and the rest is history

The Eagles look good this season. 
I'm hoping the Angels make some splashes this offseason and have a similar campaign that Philadelphia is having this year.

The ridiculous rankings are pretty full.  
We have the 3rd best ridiculous ranking in baseball.

Big deal. Trout wasn't paying attention. Even if he didn't space out and scored, the blowpen would have lost it in the bottom of the 9th. This team has lost its focus and determination. It has even affected Mike Trout. How sad for Angels fans.
