  1. How about white jersey and scarlet pants.
  2. Excuse me. But was that a Summer Beer League Softball Game that was televised Wednesday afternoon? I certainly hope so!
  3. Kyle Kubitza just gained 14 1/2 games in the AL West standings. The once promising 25-year old third basement swapped his Angel gear for Texas apparel. It was a cash deal. Not enough I'm sure to pay the rest of Josh Hamilton's contract But it does open up a spot on the roster. Maybe they can replace him with someone productive. Shouldn't be hard, Kubitza had a .194/.254/.194 line in 19 major league games last season.
  4. Google "Angels 2002 box scores". Click on 2002 Anaheim Angels Schedule by Baseball Almanac. Streak started with Game 21. Click on date 04-24-2002. That will bring up the box score. Hope this helps.
  5. Pujols has only hit 52 career home runs against the Astros. You certainly wouldn't want him in the lineup
  6. What's Scioscia trying to do? Score the fewest runs possible!
  7. If he's not off the market, he should be!
  8. Texas is 17-4 in one run games. That's insane. If they had a normal record of say 11-10, we'd have a race in the AL West. In the meantime is anybody going to put out the flames?
  9. Don't forget the fabled Hot Stove League and all its winter excitement!
  10. He's a free swinger. He's either going to hit the ball out of sight or fall down trying.
  11. Nolan Ryan. Just ask Robin Ventura!
  12. The Cubs have a "hands off" ownership group, The Tribune Company, and a brilliant baseball operations department headed by President of Baseball Operations Theo Epstein (remember him Red Sox fan?) and Executive Vice President and General Manager Jed Hoyer (remember him Padre fan?). And guess who's running the show downstairs? Mike Scoscia's old bench coach buddy, Joe Madden. Enough said!
  13. Thank goodness Nick Tropeano is about to come off the disabled list. It's Bye Bye Jhoulys Chacin. Acquired from Atlanta for a, pitcher (Adam McCreery)who spent two years in the Arizona Rookie League and started this season in A ball. Chacin has given up 17 earned run in 17 1/3 innings over his last four starts. But wait a minute! Don't put him on the Salt Lake Shuttle. He'd make the perfect batting practice pitcher!
  14. Oops! Matt Shoemaker (6 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 7 KO, ND), Tim LIncecum (6 IP, 4 H, 1 ER. 2 KO, 2 BB, W) and Jered Weaver (9 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 1 KO, W) dominated the A's in convincing fashion, Shoemaker has rediscovered 2014. His ERA over his last 6 starts is 1.83. Now Lincecum and Weaver have to build on the momentum with consistent starts to get this pitching staff back on track.
  15. The Mariners are starting to play down to their level of mediocrity. When all is said and done they'll wind up a nice .500 team. Right where they belong.
  16. Just another chance to alter your swing and screw up your mechanics for what? Trout's got plenty of hardware already.
  17. Multiple candidates. Injuries have played a major role. But the farm system is the worst in baseball.
  18. Check my bio in the about us section, I mentioned that incident.
  19. Can the Angels use a 5 man infield? That way everybody's happy.
  20. Can we play the 2002 season all over again?
  21. Happy Father's Day to all you Moms who made it possible
  22. It's all about what have you done for me lately.
