  1. Anybody know anything about him? Seems to have good numbers and is a lefty, seems to be a perfect fit for leading off and left field.
  2. They better not. Trading Richards is the dumbest thing they could do right now besides the other obvious one.
  3. Trout seems like the same hitter at the end of last year, can't catch up to the high heat. All he does is k
  4. I'm not basing this on one game. This whole season this team has screamed mediocrity. Just because we had a nice comeback from the offense doesn't change anything. How do you come back from that deficit, hit a go ahead grand slam, keep tacking on runs afterward and then come out the next day flat as they were? No fire in this "team"
  5. What is the front office doing? Just going to sit on their hands and be a mediocre team? Either trade some guys off that aren't part of the future and get some offensive depth or go get a big bat. All we are doing right now is wasting our time, Joyce isn't getting out of this slump, ianetta just isn't the same hitter, Aybar can't hit, Calhoun is struggling. There is no easy fix I get that but do something! Are we just going to keep throwing the same shit out there day after day and hope it all decides to come together?
  6. Who cares if he leaned into it. The dude was going what it takes to keep his team in the game. What was he supposed to do? Avoid the hit by pitch? In baseball if you get an opportunity you better take advantage
  7. Yeah that's what's I figured just a dream scenario. Pollock would be great but we would be paying for a cemterfielder to play in left which would be great for the defense but it will cost us more. At the same time it may be a perfect fit so in the dreaded instance where trout may need a couple days off he can slide to center instead of having cowgill out there. Scotty said they don't want to trade him but I don't see how they wouldn't, they are using him as a part time outfielder it seems.
  8. If we gave up 4 starting pitching prospects we better be getting an IMPACT bat, sure pollock is good would love to have him in left and leading off but we better be getting more back than just that for that package. Maybe if we could pry goldschmidt away from the d-backs we could throw in another piece and get them both. Move pujols to Dh, goldy to first, and pollock in left that deepens our lineup and adds a feared bat to hit 4th. Maybe I'm just underestimating what the trade market looks like right now though if we couldn't even get Ben Revere and his .640 ops for a reasonable package.
  9. What's there to hate about the cardinals? They are really well run franchise have always been successful, have won the right was by producing talent and signing under the radar free agents to under market deals. Until this there hasn't really been anything to dislike about them other than them winning all the time.
  10. Does anyone know why they haven't given him a shot with the big club yet? He seems to be hitting really well with the bee's seems like he could be plugged into the 2 hole and lengthen our lineup so we could put Calhoun back to lead off. Maybe they are trying to get Kubitza some refinement on the defensive side? 1. Calhoun RF 2 Kubitza 3B 3. Trout CF 4. Pujols 1B 5. Freese DH 6. Joyce (or hopefully new left fielder) LF 7. Perez C 8. Aybar SS 9 Giavotella 2B
  11. I have a dream scenario of getting goldschmidt and pollock from the d-backs for Heaney, Yarborough, Bedrosian, Cron, and Chris Ellis. D-backs seem to not think they can compete with the trade of trumbo. No way it happens but if Dipoto pulled it off it would transform this team into a World Series contender.
  12. Is this dude being serious? What kind of person goes all over the Internet to say that the Angels organization and every scout is stupid because their brother, who is a decent prospect isn't the best prospect in baseball? You just sound stupid. He's 23, which is kind of old for the Cal League and was a 23rd round pick. I've seen him play in person and nothing really jumped out at me. Just another hacker with decent power. I can't stop laughing at you calling around to get him traded. Honestly, how can you be this dumb?
  13. I caught that too. I thought I must have heard wrong but I guess not lol
  14. He's a pro athlete, yet shows no toughness at all
  15. I wish I could call off work for "back spasms" while still getting guaranteed money. Whiney little girl, I'm so sick of this dude. Terrible, terrible signing.
  16. You can't have a favorite college team if you didn't attend that school? That makes sense...
  17. Back when that deal was going to be made Kendrick and Wood were both our future for the infield along with Aybar, that's back when we thought Wood was going to be the next Glaus and Kendrick was going to win batting titles. That's like making a trade today for a really good, young hitter but giving up your 4 best prospects. Those trades are hard to do. Of course looking back on it we wish it would have gone down. I wish the Haren trade didn't happen, the Pujols and Hamilton signings never happened, us to have signed Matt Harvey when we drafted him etc, etc....hindsight is always 20/20
  18. There is no way Trout is getting 10 years 260 million when the best hitter of our generation, Albert Pujols got 10 years 250 million and that contrct is ridiculous.
  19. Why even keep him? He should have been DFAd
  20. Lmao at a guy who made a turn in the rotation 5 days ago not being stretched out halfway through MAY! Get a clue Scioscia. We are too far gone now, 11 freaking games back now, wow it's so terrible it's funny.
  21. Butcher definitely needs to go, he never seems to help the pitchers after mound visits and every pitcher that comes here underperforms, that can't be a coincidence. Once we get some of our players off the DL and the bullpen and rotation are how Dipoto designed(except for Joe Blanton, release that asshole, and put Richards in his rotation spot and Jerome back to the pen)we will be much better, I hope anyways....
  22. Come on guys is Arte really going to go through the media to say that Scioscia is on the hot seat? That would be very unprofessional and would strain the relationship. If it happened I could see it happening out of nowhere, that's how the Angels' front office has always worked, they never make front office things public.
