  1. I'll take last years trout. I feel like when trout is on base it puts pressure on the other team, the homers are nice but having him on base causes mistake pitches by the pitcher trying to hold him on or trying to be quicker to the plate. Also, it eliminates breaking balls in the dirt to whoever is batting behind him.
  2. Idk maybe because we got 1 hit and shutout? Just a guess, though.
  3. The playoff push starts tonight!.... Lol jk
  4. Our offense isn't clicking with Mike Trout in the two hole so why waste his speed there when he can't ever steal in front of Pujols? Scioscia is so stubborn he will put every damn player in the lead off spot but won't but Mike back there. So stupid on so many levels. JB Shuck as our lead off hitter? Who woulda thought that in Spring Training?
  5. Good to see about Bedrosian he was starting to look like another bust from that 2011 draft. We really need some of these high upside arms to keep getting better if we are going to get back to being competive anytime soon. Hopefully Moreno and Dipoto learned this year PITCHING is the key to winning.
  6. ^ Agree! If I couldn't vent my frustrations on this board I would have a heart attack! At least with two wild card spots playoffs aren't totally out of the question. We do need Pujols, Wilson, and Hamiton to pull their heads out of their asses here pretty soon to have a chance though.
  7. It's crazy how the whole MOTO can just totally suck. So much for that great offense to carry the mediocre pitching. This season is terrible.
  8. Lol I need to stick to the subject at hand but lifetime can start an argument in every thread? The mod bias toward certain posters on this website is quite astounding,
  9. Kruk is terrible to watch, no idea how he keeps his job. Mod edit *keep to the subject at hand.
  10. LOL ranger fans still not over the Josh Hamilton thing! I think they are starting to pass up the cards fans from last year! Yeah I get it he costed you a playoff berth, the whole Rangers collapse and every single loss that the rangers ever had with Josh Hamilton was his fault. Like rallymo said if they have one of the best records in baseball why do you have to come here to troll? If the Angels were kicking ass I'd enjoy it and talk about the team amongst other angel fans, not find a rival team's message board in order to troll. 3 years of success and all of the sudden you guys are the poster child for all of MLB, give me a ****ing break. 90% of your fans are bandwagoners.
  11. Actually, the first overall pick is starting to sound pretty sweet. Imagine we could get a Strasbourg type pitcher that could come through the minors quickly and be an ace, like Bruce Rondon.
  12. That draft is so laughable, wtf are you thinking drafting those toolsy guys? And draft a pitcher based on his dad being a major leaguer. If not for that terrible draft our farm System looks alot better.
  13. Always have been and always will be an Angels fan, never going to change. I'll still wear my angels gear proudly because all this losing just makes the winning seasons so much better... It's frustrating as all hell, but I watch every game I can and look at the score throughout work. I sometimes ask myself why I torture myself but that's my team, only other Angel fans will understand.
  14. 1. You don't trade Trumbo, he's our best hitter and like others have pointed out he's always dedicated to get better and made adjustments. 2. Chris Denorfia and Cashner?! A 4th outfielder and a reliever?! Terrible... 3. If Trumbo was going to be trade bait we better get an overwhelming haul for him, he should be what we are building around. A good match would be the Royals, a team with tons of young pitching and a need for a nice power bat in the middle of their lineup.
  15. Sorry for the triple post, I have sprint and was posting with my iPhone and it kept saying could not post, but I guess it was. If a mod could delete the two others that would be sweet.
  16. Going into the season we knew our pitching was shaky and we couldn't afford any injuries. We knew that there was no way Weaver could go down and we could stay competetive, we knew CJ Wilson couldn't pitch the way he is pitching, we knew Blanton couldn't totally suck, and we knew we couldn't have Tommy Hanson throwing 87-88 mph fastballs. On the offensive side we thought we had a powerhouse, every big name in our line up has failed miserably except Trumbo and Bourjos, we are supposed to have 3 of the best players in the game in Pujols, Hamilton and Trout and they all have let us down. We all knew we had issues in our bullpen and didnt have the depth to recover from injuries to main components, and Madson was supposed to be back by mid April. Well.... We have lost almost our whole bullpen to the DL and Madson is still a couple weeks away. If our bullpen could have been Madson, Frieri, Jepsen, Burnett, Richards, Williams I guarantee we are at least .500. Oh well coulda, woulda, shoulda.... I'm on the fire Scioscia wagon and the lets blow this thing up and rebuild wagon too but just a reminder to you guys that it isn't all solely on the shoulders of Scioscia and Dipoto, I really doubt when they were constructing this team in Spring training they were expecting Hamilton to be hitting .202 with 2 homers on may 7th or that they were going to have to call up Ryan Brasier for a spot in the bullpen before April was over.

  19. You guys are insane. Nobody is going to take Pujols or Hamilton. The core players we need to build around are Trout, Trumbo, Bourjos, Richards, Frieri, and conger. The traceable pieces that would bring back talent are kendrick, Aybar, Wilson, weaver(highly doubt we trade him), Callaspo, Downs, madson, and Ianetta. If we could find a good deal that includes those guys that brings back alot of talent to rejuvenate the farm you have to do it. This team doesn't seem like they will compete, mine as well try to cut payroll and look at the big picture.
  20. I laugh at this team now, it's so ridiculous it's comedy.
  21. What are you talking about? The angels didnt want Vlad or Anderson back and Angela fans knew that, it's not like they accepted a bigger contract and bolted on the angels. I never remember angel fans being upset about any of those players leaving besides Glaus. Maybe the only other players we got upset about were Teixeira and Lackey, and thank god they didn't stay!
  22. If you don't like it maybe you should go on to a Rangers fan forum? I don't know, just a suggestion. If you are going to criticize the ANGELS on an ANGELS fan forum expect other posters to call bullshit on your idiotic posts. Especially when your great team has a nice track record of choking.
