  1. When it comes to a country's civil war, no one should butt in. Within reason of course. Should have been the same with Libya. Can't remember if we did anything in Egypt. It's their war, let them handle it.
  2. Of course it's simple. Remember when Clinton took out Osama with a few cruise missiles back in '98 and prevented future terrorist attacks against the U.S.?
  3. The Middle East should be one reason why no one should ever want to be President of the United States.
  4. I guess if our allies are being directly threatened I could see some reason but it would have to be pretty serious.
  5. What exactly about Syria needs our involvement Scott? A crappy government being overthrown by sketchy rebels? Atrocities being committed on both sides? Like mt said yesterday, it's no different than other parts of the world. There is not one legitimate reason to go there. The u.s is not in danger or being threatened. Therefore there isn't a legitimate reason to get involved.
  6. In what way do you mean exactly? I could already tell you in what ways they will be similar. A money pit and if we get to heavily involved, more of our soldiers will needlessly die or be scarred for life. Both physically and emotionally. Long after the guns have cooled. I'm not antiwar but it must be a last resort for us, our soldiers, and the innocent caught in the middle of it.
  7. You say American lives won't be at risk but you just stated that with our vast military it's our obligation. How will Americans not be at risk if you use the military? Or if it's drones being used, will more innocent people be killed along with our targets? And just because we have an awesome military, again I ask, why our obligation?
  8. I have seen videos. People convulsing, having trouble breathing, the nervous system shutting down or being attacked. Not fun stuff, I agree. Why is it our obligation? Can't another country intervene? Why us?
  9. Fair enough. Still can't think of a good reason to get involved. Intelligence may have information but how accurate is it? Accurate enough to risk lives and throw more money at problems that might not be able to be fixed? Why is the U.S. responsible to fix it?
  10. I remember when human rights were being violated in Somalia. That ended well for us, right Scott?
  11. The angels did get better in the win category I believe in 2012 under jerry than they did in tony's last year in 2011. I do understand what you're saying though mt.
  12. I don't think people are genuinely trying to bring race into this. I think it's more of a sarcastic attempt to show that race shouldn't be brought into other issues like the Zimmerman case. I think it's showing how ridiculous it is when others throw the race card around irresponsibly.
  13. Knowing this team and their inability to do anything right, I can see this happening.
  14. If his defense makes up for his lack of hitting, within in reason of course, I'm all for it. Remember not every player has to be Trout like. Also Peter is the least of our worries right now.
  15. Well since there isn't a MLB forum anymore, this forum covers all teams. Got it?
  16. Have Blanton and the angels bullpen play for LA and see if Puig makes a difference.
  17. You guys know he'll go 4-4 tonight now. Thanks storm!
  18. Not to harp too much on Scott but he was excited when Carpenter first came up.
  19. I thought you wanted them to lose. You know, the top ten draft pick you've been talking about? Just STOP IT with the Austin impression.
  20. What a douche. I mean troll daddy and purple lips.
  21. Most people here knew it would be awful but were hoping it wouldn't turn awful until after year 4 or so.
