The base runner cannot be in the field of play.  He has to be on the foul side of the line.

Yeah I’m pretty sure it was Gosselin who interfered because he was like 3 feet inside the line. I meant that I had no idea what the rule is as far as placing runners, or calling an out, etc. because I don’t know that I’ve ever seen interference called on a runner on a pickoff throw before.

It's another IF but it's better than most of the remaining options and the number of years works.  No clue if he wouldn't play for the Angels but, the reality is the Rangers probably HAVE given him a reason to play for his hometown team if the Dodgers weren't interested.

Beyond that, while I have always like him, didn't he act like a little bitch when Shohei didn't fawn all over the Dodgers and sign with them?

And also got all butthurt when Ward tried to bunt for a hit when the Dogs were way up in a game (that the Angels almost came back and won.)

Actually I don’t see it on Cotts.  I wonder if I misremembered and the Yankees only got money in their other deals.  Well now that I think of it, I don’t see the money for the other players on Cotts either.

They did send cash to the Yankees. Think that had to be required since they were trying to stay under the CBT upper limit.

A nightmare would be Seeing Eye Dog Smith doing the television feed. The man hasn't seen a pitch in 5 years let alone the trajectory of a hit to the outfield.

I was listening to the game on the way somewhere the other day, and during an Ohtani AB (!!!) he called the first pitch a little outside (which means it was really down and in), and then proceeded to talk about something else that should have taken 5 seconds but took Terry 2 minutes, and the next thing he called about the game was the 3-2 pitch to Ohtani.

And you're completely right about the trajectory thing.  According to Terry, every single base hit to the outfield "drops in there" whether it's a blooper or a 110 mph rope into the gap.
