This is not the Angels best lineup.

It's at the expense of our young talent. Hicks is washed. Yankees knew it. Don't know why we are trying to save him. 

Hopefully he plays well in the first half and can be traded for a prospect. Failure does nobody any good so a very strange thing to hope for. 

Why? Rendon has been bad when he has actually played the last three seasons, putting up a .701 OPS (94 OPS+). Rengifo can play third base so it is absolutely relevant to include him with the other two. Adell hasn't earned a thing but he is 24 years old and it's time to figure out if he is part of the future rather than sending out Aaron Hicks who is lucky to even be on a ML roster.

But he did well in Spring Training

Adell: 1 start in 4 games
Moniak: 1 start in 4 games
Rengifo: 1 start in 4 games
Do not approve of this strategy at all when we are replacing these guys with the likes of Rendon, Hicks, and Sano. If this is the strategy, I wish we would have just signed JD Martinez to DH.

I really think trout is gonna ask to be traded at the deadline if he is healthy

Hicks hitting second ahead of Trout is proving to be an awful decision early on.

I think you have to go what with what gives you the best chance to win this early in the season. They at least have to pretend to compete. Hicks/Sano might not be on the team in June. Adell and Moniak will get plenty of at bats.

Sandoval is doing nothing to diminish my sneaking suspicion that he's toast. My guess is that he finishes the year as the 4th or 5th (best) starter.

I think the most informative thing from that article is that the Rendon and Trout injuries have seemingly scared him away from spending.

r/baseball and r/angels or whatever they're called are a bunch of Ohtani fan boys. 

I blame the Angels... the Angel games were so boring last year, Ippei had to find an outlet.

I knew Neto would come around again when healthy ! He is by far our best young player ! Honestly when he went down last year it changed the whole season cause he is a player that ignites a team 🙂
