Oh I remember buying the CD just for the one song or two songs. Then Napster and all those sites came. So the question would be do you offer Trout a shorter deal instead of the 10 year deal but offer him the same amount of money just for fewer years lets say to his 37th birthday instead of 40th and above? Will teams start offering just larger 5 year deals or are teams just going to continue to offer the 10 and 12 year deals for these super star players?

Smart move. Team is getting older, sell off all the older more expensive players and build for a couple years down the road. I appreciate teams that go for it and if it didn't work sell off and reboot. Nothing wrong with that at all.

If Adell isn't Trout then there is going to be a world of hurt coming. People talk about Adell like he is going to be the second coming of Trout. Interesting to see what happens.

Saves money. Sell off old assets for younger assets. Seems reasonable to me.

To like this move or not like this move is kind of silly. Of course a new manager will want all new people or at least get to pick who is on his staff. Hopefully it works out.

What's not going to happen? I said as much. I said that Pujols will not be sitting and that he would be at 1st. Not because of how good he is, but because of his contract. Even if we have someone better which we more than likely do. There is zero possibility that Pujols sits if he is healthy enough to play.

All you have to find is a 1 WAR player and he is better than Pujols.

It isn't just his contract that sucks. He sucks as a baseball player. Look at his numbers the last 3 years they are dreadful. I wouldn't sign Pujols to a league minimum contract.

I can't remember was the old contract ripped up and a new contract brought in? Or was it just an added year added to his contract already? But ya I imagine it would just be the case of him accepting a trade somewhere. He is used to it by now.

I wouldn't necessarily call 20 plus games out of first competing but hey to each his own.

I have this debate with a bunch of you so I figured I would make a poll. What year do you guys think the Angels will start competing for a division title? How many more years of transitioning? How many more years of rebuilding? At what year can we start holding people accountable for not making the playoffs?

What is his serious issues? Guy put up an 889 OPS with 34 doubles 34 home runs while putting up a 388 OBP. I would hate to have those issues.

Does he contract have a no trade clause though? I thought if you were with one team for 10 years or 5 years or something you get a no trade clause. He has only been here a year and a couple months.

Can people stop using the word douchey. Just because you don't like the guy from afar doesn't mean they are douchey. No one here other than I imagine Fletcher has probably met Harper. And I am guessing even he, while covering the Angels, doesn't know him that well. It is the most over played word here.

Venice is kind of gross as far as the beach goes. There are other parts of Venice that are pretty nice some cool restaurants etc. I would recommend going up to Santa Monica at least for one of the nights lots of fun bars, restaurants, the pier is always fun, and a good scene all around. Down town is ok around Staples but another good spot would be Malibu a bunch of good spots with a view to eat. If you want walking around downtown LA is pretty fun if you like local breweries around Angel City brewery is a blast.
