Well how about 0 playoff appearances in the time that Eppler has been here. Does he deserve the benefit of the doubt? Mike doesn't build the roster. Eppler did and this roster is not up to snuff in regards to offense or pitching. Name another guy on this team besides Trout, Simmons and sometimes Upton that scare you with the bat? If Trout was off this team what would this teams offensive production look like? Say we are middle of the pack in offense all you want but it's because Trout is so Facking incredible he carries a shit team to mediocrity

Gosh I love this site. I haven't posted in a year or so but you people are the best fans ever. You talked crap on Pujols for years of him being absolutely shit. Then you cheer him when he is doing well. Yet no one on this site actually thinks its unnatural. Dude blows complete junk and then has maybe one of his best seasons ever at 40 years old or how ever old he is now. Yep completely legit. Dudes a douche always will be a douche and is a cheater. Being worried about stupid awards is silly. Why not stay being the Mike Trout we know and be the best player in baseball. Instead of just another run of the mill home run hitter.

Mike Trout while probably the best player in baseball. Gave up on being the best overall talent to try to hit more home runs. He gave up on stolen bases because of Pujols or just cause he doesn't want that to be his game anymore. For just power and thats it. He needs to go back to what made him the most exciting player in baseball. Not this swing for the fences every at bat kind of guy. I liked Trout when he first came up and was Henderson.

I may be on my own in this thought. But I don't really like how Trout has played this year. Ya he is still the best player in baseball and is putting up good numbers. But he isn't the complete player he was the first two years in the league. I always saw him as Ricky Henderson type. Stolen bases, triples, doubles, great defense exciting to watch and maybe 20 to 30 home runs. He seems like all he wants to do now is hit home runs, which is great and all but it takes away from his all around game. I wanna see him get back in the tops of stolen bases, and be the athlete that he was when he first came up not just a home run hitter.

Thats a huge pull for Angelswin congrats guys. I could never stand him or that 90 year old dude he used to do his talk show with both were giant blow hards. But the guy has a name or at least used to. Won't be reading anything he has to say. But still thats a name that used to be on the radio in Southern California.

I was born in 1982 grew up going to Angels games and watching a lot of losing seasons. But having favorite players like Wally Joyner, Jim Abbot, Edmonds, my all time favorite Erstad and Salmon.

This is why I don't get when baseball old timers say stuff about baseball purists. Nothing about baseballs past present or future is sacred. That goes with every sport. There is cheating in every game, probably more so in baseball. If someone in football was caught cheating they'd get fined and suspended. Basketball I don't know how you cheat there other than the refs calling games. But baseball this will just be if anything a 5 day suspension where he misses 1 start, and be forgotten about.

Could help the offense get moving if Trout or someone is moving around on the base paths. Just trying to be positive in the crap that is the start of the season. We look like we are built to just be a station to station offense from the looks of it.

I know its been probably said around here but hear me out. Trout came up two years ago and set the world on fire. Batted lead off and sparked the Angels to barely just missing the playoffs with his speed on the base paths, hitting home runs, driving in runs, but causing chaos for the opposing pitchers and catchers. Then year two bats around 1-3 but mostly 2nd and some 3rd in the line up he does tons of damage at the plate but doesn't do nearly as much damage on the base paths because he has Pujols/Hamilton/Trumbo hitting behind him so he doesn't get the green light as much. To me Trout reminds me of Ricky Henderson, a true lead off guy with awesome power, awesome speed and can just get on base with the best of them and set the bases on fire by causing ruckus. I know our pitching has been terrible to start the year but so has our offense, Why not re think this old base to base type offense we have right now and put Trout at leadoff and start causing some chaos. Just food for thought.

I don't know about wasted. An older veteran who can help the younger kids. Be a role model and be someone who can help grow the young kids. Something I don't know that we have had since maybe Hunter left. I don't believe Pujols is a guy who talks to players he seems like a lead by action not by talking. I have no problem with a roster spot that even if its for a little while longer he can help the kids.

Jim Kelly is one of my all time favorite players and he and his family has gone through so much with their son passing away at such a young age. Didn't know where to put this topic, so just put it here. Hoping and praying that he recovers fast and they catch this cancer before it gets to far.

That's awesome. Team chemistry is under rated in my opinion. This team other than just not having the talent the last couple years. Has sorely missed team chemistry. The wanting to play for one another. I am glad to hear one of the good guys will be in the clubhouse.

I believe Pujols has that somewhere in his contract
