I think you give Santiago the rotation spot if he impresses his next start. I blame the Atlanta game on the pen. At the same time Shoemaker looks like a guy who will attack the zone, throw strikes, get quick outs, and save the pen a lil bit.

Claim Josh Outman, add a dependable reliever, and call up Alvarez after he's healthy and thrown a couple games in AA. I like the idea of Samardzija but it doesn't make sense to do right now

Newcomb looks like a stud that fell into their laps, there's some serious upside with the Ellis and Gatto picks, Rhoades and Jewell look like some legitimate upside relievers, and I know the Angels liked their 7th round prep bat Alex Abbott enough to sign him to an above slot deal. Could be a very good draft.

I wish the Angels had the talent to acquire Shields and/or Holland but they're going to have to look at smaller options unfortunately

I wouldn't make that trade, keep the offense intact, The first thing this team needs to do is get healthy. Hamilton's about to be back, Trout missed a couple games but should be fine, and Calhoun looks like he's starting to get hot over the last couple of games (working the count too.) Although I do think they might need to make a trade for some pitching depth, if there's an injury to the rotation, the Halos are in trouble.

Give Sisk a chance but I'm not liking the idea of anyone else at this moment. Joe Thatcher would be my guy if they need to get a reliever.

The only thing I could see coming from a Morales reunion is Cron being traded for pitching which I would hate and love.

Now that Dipoto has got the team running on almost all cylinders, it'll be interesting to see where he goes now. It seemed like he was always playing catch-up with the organization. I really like Shoemaker, throws harder than I thought he would, throws strikes, and just attacks the zone. Like you mentioned Santiago still has upside. The two of them at least offer depth in case of an injury but I really feel like they'll need another starter. Acquire someone who can be a decent 4-5 type and wait for the off-season, I feel like they're gonna make a splash with Shields, Masterson, a Santana reunion?, Peavy, or De La Rosa (I doubt Scherzer)

I'd hold onto Howie, I think the Angels will need another starter, especially if/when an injury to the rotation occurs, but dismantling the big league team doesn't sound like a good idea. I would rather see Lindsey packaged in a deal for a young starter before Howie was shipped out.

Angels need pitching, not gonna lie I'd be a little disappointed in the Halos if they get a bat. If they do pick Pentecost, he better be a guy that will definitely stick at catcher.

I was surprised by this but the Halos better not think they'll be able to get away with Shoemaker/Alvarez/LeBlanc in the rotation. They'll have to acquire someone if Santiago is in the pen for good.
