  1. Morin could very well make the team out of spring training
  2. Angels definitely need to get more involved in the international market. Would certainly help a crappy minor league system too
  3. Bourjos for Maikel Franco or Cody Asche, not a pitcher, but they give us a third baseman for the future. Plus the Phils get to keep one of them, makes sense to me
  4. Gimme Javier Lopez and/or one of Joe Smith or Jesse Crain and the bullpen is set. I feel like the extra work load for Frieri, and especially De La Rosa and Kohn, wore down the only valuable assets in the bullpen so getting as much depth as possible will help them as well. If Williams is retained he's the swingman, if not, Shoemaker and Roth battle for the title. Williams/Shoemaker/Roth, Kohn, De La Rosa, Burnett, Lopez, Crain/Smith, and Frieri looks like a solid bullpen to me. Also have Mike Morin and Jeremy Berg as depth options. Saw Morin pitch in the AFL Championship League and he had a nasty changeup with a low-to-mid nineties fastball, could be a good setup guy or even closer.
  5. I'd still trade Trumbo for one young starter and maybe a prospect or two ( any combo of a bullpen arm, another starter or a position player.) Sign Tim Hudson to a 1, even a 2 year deal if necessary, trade Trumbo for a young pitcher, sign a bullpen arm, and sign a part time position player (maybe like Eric Chavez) and call it an offseason.
  6. Hell no, I wouldn't do Trumbo for Middlebrooks and Doubront alone. Don't have any faith in Middlebrooks and I certainly wouldn't give up two awesome position players for one "meh" one and a decent starting pitcher
  7. Mike Morin definitely. Maybe CJ Cron if he can start out the year strong, and certainly if Trumbo is traded.
  8. Weaver, Wilson, Tanaka, Vargas, and Richards would be fine by me. I think you still trade one position player for some prospects and depth though, Angels still need a handful of young cost controlled pitchers if they get Tanaka and/or Vargas
  9. Doesn't mean the Angels have the talent to get him. Instead of trading all of our trade chips for one guy, I think you trade them separately or package them for multiple pieces.
  10. Marlins are also looking for an upgrade at catcher, maybe include Iannetta with Trumbo for something like Brian Flynn, AJ Ramos, and Nathan Eovaldi
  11. Hello hello all! No way the Cards do Miller for Aybar straight up, but I'd include Bourjos to at least get the Cards attention. I'd be willing to include a prospect if needed, Miller is exactly the type of pitcher the Angels need. Re-sign Vargas and you got a rotation of Weaver, Wilson, Miller, Vargas, and Richards. Maybe sign Clayton Richard to a minor league deal for some more depth with Williams and Shoemaker
