They can’t handcuff themselves with another massive deal to someone who’ll be 29 when he’s due a new deal Once this deadline passes teams trading for Ohtani will only be guaranteed one season with him. So the time to trade him is now. With all of that said, the Angels won’t trade him because Arte will not allow it. Ohtani brings in too much revenue. Until Arte sells the team the Angels aren’t going to be competitive.

This isn’t a good tweet. Can’t expect bullpen guys to duplicate their previous seasons. They’re too up and down. Rendons body is toast. It’ll be the same thing next year so plan ahead. Same goes for Trout. You can always count on him to miss time moving forward. These can’t be used as excuses anymore. This team/organization sucks because they’ve been stuck in between rebuilding and “competing” for years. Guess whose fault that is? Arte! A guy like Walsh should’ve been traded at the deadline last year. I got sh!t on when I said they should’ve traded Skaggs. They should’ve traded Trout and now they definitely should trade Ohtani. I’d also try to get a decent return for Sandoval. Arte is never going to blow past his budget. So you need to start getting multiple pieces for some of these guys. However this organization flat out sucks at drafting so the chances of them identifying talent on other teams rosters is probably pretty slim.

Lol Just what this organization needs. Another massive contract on the books. This board deserves Arte as an owner. Hopefully Ohtani saves Arte from himself and gives the Angels a heads up that he’ll be leaving when his time comes.

Tough to win when you have Lagares, Suzuki, Wade and Velasquez as your 6-7-8-9. Add in Rendon and 5/9 of your batting order is in over their head. There really isn’t a good enough excuse for Adell not to be in the lineup but in typical Angels fashion nothing makes sense and here they sit below .500 in June again Shocking

It’s the same song and dance with this board every year. You guys overhype terrible off season signings and then freak out mid season when this team sucks. Add in the fact that the guys who are being paid to carry this team aren’t helping matters and you’re left with exactly this. A complete mess for the 7th straight season or something like that. I’ve lost count. This thing needs to be blown up and built from scratch. I know this board prefers individual performances over team wins so this won’t be a popular take but if you can get an absolute HAUL for Ohtani you pull trigger. However, due to the money Arte makes from Ohtani that’ll never happen. And in a few years we’ll have another awful contract on the books with a hard cap that leaves no room for anything else

Until Arte fires himself it really doesn’t matter who manages this team
