    Welp, by now the Angels must know if they’re legitimate players for Max. If not they need to pivot immediately.

    I know quiet is good BUT I’m starting to get this nervous feeling that we might actually end up missing out on these pitchers when the bullets start to fly right away. I REALLY hope I’m wrong. I completely checked out for the first time since I can remember during the season this year. Didn’t even check box scores the last month or two.

    Do the Jays pivot back to Ray now that Semien is gone?

    Plus the loss of Semien is a decent blow to what makes Toronto good. Just thinking in terms of wild card spots for us

    A big part of Semien’s value came from the long ball. The Rangers new park doesn’t exactly do him any favours

    Ideally Arte just sucks it up and spends money or we’re just going to deplete the farm again. Bite the bullet spend the money and reset the direction of this organization We sign 2 legit starting pitchers and all of a sudden we have some serious prospect depth

    I think if the Jays were going to hand out a contract to a pitcher they would’ve preferred to just bring Ray back

    CJ started doing the whole car thing more after. Pujols stopped giving a sh!t. These guys aren’t robots. Once he gets paid who knows.

    I posted this because in the other thread I had mentioned his workouts last offseason. If Ray continues to work as hard as he did last offseason moving forward I’m all for this deal. However, the way he talked about it with his wife getting mad it doesn’t sound like this will be the norm moving forward. Which I then worry he resorts back to the guy who signed a 1yr 8 million dollar deal last offseason.

    Now that they’re mentioning the Jays as a finalist for Gausman I’m guessing Ray to the Angels is basically a done deal. Which makes sense given Chuck’s post.
