I can’t really see them committing to someone seeking and deserving full-time play...Gardner also has a whopping 8 innings of experience in RF. Upton doesn’t have the arm for RF. Trout ain’t moving...

I thought he had more RF time than that. Regardless, he is a strong enough fielder , and has a good enough arm to make the move.

He is an upgrade from Goodwin, and could be had for a fraction of Calhoun's $14 million option.

  2. Another viable option for the outfield is Brett Gardner. With the emergence of Tauchman, and the depth in their farm system, the Yanks are unlikely to bring him back.

Despite his diminishing playing time, he is on pace for career highs with his power numbers. He is still an above average fielder as well.

Might be a good pick-up to keep Adell's seat warm for a year.

Regarding Paddington Station:  while it’s convenient as the terminal station for the Heathrow Express and the neighborhood is good, it’s not exactly central.  I walked from Covent Garden, stopping at pubs along the way and it took me a few hours.

For a first trip to London, the area around Covent Gardens is where I would suggest staying.

This seems to be the opinion I am getting the most. Looking online at VRBO, and AirbNb, the prices seem to reflect this as well.

  4. My friend Mike was the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Devils for 21 years. He was one of Lou Lamoriello’s guys. He took pictures of both of his daughters in the Cup as newborns. Funny how they won it on years his daughters were born...?

this is rob scuderi after the kings won in 2012. I think his son is sitting beside him. I'd love to do this same thing, if given the opportunity.

Who wouldn't want to see a few Bartolo starts as the season winds down?

I would offer him a contract for next season. He would probably be the only pitcher not to spend time on the IL

NJ when are you thinking about going?

My advice for any part of Europe is go when it’s not summer.  Europe in summer is so overrun with tourists, unless you’re heading to really non-touristy areas, it can be quite annoying.

If you want to visit places like London and Paris, do yourself a favor and go in the fall-spring (even though Christmastime can be busier, but honestly pretty cool. And if you were thinking late November-Christmas than you have to go to Germany.)

I would love to go in a quieter time, but the kids school schedule dictates when we can go..

Love both. What exactly are you looking for?

London is cleaner, far more expensive. The people are cool. The food... decent.

Paris is more affordable (to a point), more "europe" than "UK" feel for obvious reasons. Great architecture.

Need to see the obvious sites, but would like to enjoy a few "off the radar" places that aren't overrun by tourists.

I want to be able to book a place in a safe area of the cities that I can walk to most places, and have easy access to the tubes.

  8. Looking for advice from anyone who has ever been there. Both cities seem very spread out, so I don't know which section to start looking in for hotels/Air BnB.

Which of the touristy things are worth it? I hate lines.

We are going to spend 4 days in each place.

Flying to London, train to Paris, Fly home from Paris.

Going with wife and 2 daughters.
