    Was in SoCal last weekend for a funeral. Two close contacts from that informed me last night that they tested positive. One has mild symptoms, one has no symptoms. Just sucks because I had to inform the guys I played golf with yesterday, work, and my refi guy. Supposed to close on my refi tomorrow. Zero symptoms for me. Feeling fine. Still makes me feel uncomfortable/guilty though.

    I'm 4 episodes in. The dubbing is kinda weird. And this may be due to bad translation, but some of the dialogue is a bit cheesy too. Yet I'm still watching.

    Agreed. I've been thinking about that for awhile, and nothing about the show strikes me as expensive to produce. I mean, obviously you have to have good people doing the work of producing and post-production, and I'm sure that costs some money. But as for the actual material/set costs, it feels like it should be super cheap.

    Fully agreed. It’s still a WS title at the end of the day. Every team knew the situation and played as well as they could accordingly. Was it a weird year? Yes, obviously. But one team won the title under the rules and the realities of the situation.

    With the Snell move it really comes down to one thing IMO. Never make the move that the opposing team really hopes you’ll make. Betts pretty much said in his first post-game interview that they thought they had a real chance once Snell got pulled.

    In the Denver airport on a layover currently and realized this is the first time I’ve sat at a bar and shot the shit with random people in like eight months.

    That sucks. The first season was really really good. Seemed like plenty of people watched it too. That said, I imagine it was expensive AF to make.

    Good guys with pistols always make perfect shots on the run at 25+ yards. Bad guys with rifles can’t hit shit at 50 yards. For you guys that aren’t regular shooters, go to a range some time and let me know how you do with a pistol in a calm, still setting at 10 yards.

    Just started an Audible subscription. Wondering if you guys have any recommendations. I’m pretty new to the audio book thing, so I haven’t had much time to determine how reader/style really play into it. My interests tend to lie in non-fiction history and/or satire. My two favorite books are Catch-22 and The Gulag Archipelago (I know it’s a collection) for reference and insight into my nerdy self.

    There's really only one case of a President becoming physically/mentally unable to perform the job while in office that I can think of, Woodrow Wilson. Dude had a stroke about a year and a half before the end of his term, and his wife pretty much took over. I think some people wanted his VP to take the office over, but in the end everyone was like "oh well, the wife seems to be handling things ok."

    Honestly I feel like the market itself has kinda done that to them already. The fact that it’s unreliable and that they pretty much demand you download their app to use it at all has rendered them useless. I honestly don’t know anyone that still uses it, which is what they deserve.
