  1. It would be dumb to trade Howie, one of the glue guys for this team. I however, would start Green instead of Freese.
  2. Yall just hatin on the teflon slugger
  3. We need some guys who can dance like that. We need some fun on this team
  4. Would Pujols numbers greatly benefit from playing DH primarily?
  5. Ok i am starting to buy into the crapshoot thing now. Also the freakin giants beat the nats on a passed ball or wild pitch and today won on an error, so yeah...
  6. They havent made any dumb signings since then. We repeatedly make those mistakes.
  7. Signing Lester Shields or Scherzer will haunt us much like the Yankees are haunted by the Sabathia deal. You def. would not see a top-flight org like the Giants or Cardinals go and sign one of those guys.
  8. I swear, the Giants are good but they get so lucky. They beat the freakin Nats on a wild pitch, and now this? I wish the gods would smile upon our team more often like that, wtf
  9. Think if we had never signed Hamilton and didn't trade for Freese. We coulda had a nice line up of Aybar, Kendrick, Trout, Pujols, Calhoun, Grichuk, Green, and Cron.
  10. Our offense will be a much bigger problem going forward than our pitching
  11. Green will be the man next year. If we sign Beckham for 3-5 mil for a bench role, then we've learned nothing in the past 2 years.
  12. Anyone think thar Pujols' numbers would be much stronger out of the DH spot?
  13. Yeah, i see what you are saying. My main concern, as you indicated in your first post, is that a deal for a big time FA could be disastrious. A fivr year deal for one of those guys maybe works out for 2 years and then starts looking like the Sabathia situation. I really want this team to start for the Giants model of only bringing in mid level FAs (think Hudson), the big money deals need to be reserved for the talent we develop, and not for underperforming mercenaries (giants have spent money, but its on guys like posey and cain).
  14. Why do they have to replace Richards? He is going to pitch next year. Regardless, they need another 1-2 SPs to replace Wilson and depending on how santiago progresses.
  15. Kc has a solid formula that reminds me a lot of the giants. They are like a mini SF giants but with more speed. This organic approach team building is the way to go in this new era, that I would say started in 2010.
  16. SF really changed the model of how to build a team in this modern era. Kc reminds me of a mini SF. Dipoto needs to take notice
  17. arte's crappiest signing for sure. the type that if any CEO made in a real company would trigger the board of directors to remove him. Did the front office do even an ounce of due diligence on Josh? And to think, this was after the Pujos signing, one would think the FO would have learned the error of their ways.
  18. He looks slow nowadays. He went the pure slugger route. He indeed has a lot of things to think about this offseason, but I have no doubt he will destroy the league next year.
  19. Our team would be shaking in their cleats as he walked through the hallways
  20. WIlson isn't going anywhere. In the worst case, we try to make him a reliever, similar to how the Giants used Lincecum in 2012 playoffs. He had one bad year, and he was a bit sketchy in 2012. The other 3.5 years were pretty damn good.
