How many games is ohtani going to single handedly win for the angels.

Uhhhhhh......... 5.1 innings, one run.  

Pitching around the guy hitting .098 is the prudent thing to do. 

Starting pitchers the last 4 games have gone 1.2, 3, 0.2, and 2.2 and the angels will be 3-1.    I think I see a winning formula.

Seems to be where the angels play best when behind big early.  Other team falls asleep and angels chip away.  The orioles are one of those loser teams that will find a way to lose if you let them. 

It’s now an official game.  Home team up after 4 1/2.  If they call it now it’s a loss. 

While they have been playing very well I don’t think in the end Tampa bay will even be a playoff team.  I think that the Yankees and maybe even the blue jays with their offense will reel them in.  They could finish 4th in the east.  Even if only one of those two teams catches them they have to contend with the west teams Oakland and Houston for a wild card.  Today showed that their overachieving bullpen can be tenuous and they don’t really have the offense to bang with the other teams in the east.

Even Vlad Jr. said Ohtani is the MVP.  Ohtani may end up leading the league in HR and OPS, oh yeah and hes a top rotation starter too.   Not even a conversation.  Again, only a health issue will keep him away.

Anyone whos critical of Maddon's handling of the pitching staff want to comment the Tigers managers decisions in that inning?  After giving up 5 runs, 2 home runs in the inning and walking a guy he keeps him in.  I think a 12 year old baseball fan would have known hes done.

Of course you can always say that about any move any manager makes.   But it is their responsibility to put the players in positions to succeed.  
 
look at Pujols.  Total dumpster fire here most are glad he is gone. The dodgers have made him essentially a platoon guy against lefties and his stats are much better.  They are putting him in position to succeed and he is.
