There's a clip of him on youtube chasing a Japanese pitcher out into center field. So you've got a pitcher who is scared to death with Allen in hot pursuit and a bunch of players running behind them. It was a crazy scene...he was clearly out of his mind. Who knows what he would have done if he had caught him. I like Allen and Impemba...they're probably a top 5 duo for me. They've been together for quite awhile.

I just listened to the Fangraphs Winter Meetings podcast (1149). They talked about approaching Passan at the meetings to congratulate him on a Hosmer article he just came out with. He told them "Forget about the Hosmer article and wait for my Ohtani piece because I just got the medical report!". They look over and his editor is sitting down next to him going thru the report while they're standing there. This is at the 12:00 mark if anyone wants to listen. Weren't there any adults around? I wish Jeff Fletcher would chime in and explain what the ethical responsibilities are in a situation like this. I haven't seen a writer yet say the details of his medical report shouldn't have been divulged. Verducci said a "source" told him about the injections so at least there was some ambiguity there. Yahoo were proud to say they "obtained" the report and then commenced to reveal the information on a confidential medical report.

Yeah its going to be interesting to see where the investigation ends up. Moreno has to be furious. The Players Assoc. and the agents also have an interest as they don't want Buzzfeed getting their hands on a players medical report and finding out he has herpes or something. I don't think we've seen anything like this before have we? I think there have been cases of medical information being withheld but I can't think of one where information was leaked.

CJ Wilson was on it from the start. When the story broke he asked Passan point blank how in the f**k did you get his medical report? He was the only high profile guy I saw asking the obvious question...

It was on his baseball tonight podcast...it's near the beginning. His partner also brings up the possibility a GM leaked it to an agent who then gave it to Yahoo which is even worse but I'm not big on conspiracy theories...

Olney hinted it was Dipoto but probably wishes he could take it back because this could blow up. A GM leaking a players medicals to damage a rival organization is major...

From what I understand the report that was leaked was the one given to the 7 finalists so New York and Boston are out. I'm glad MLB is starting to move on this. I would like it explained how this wasn't a violation of HIPAA. Talk about a bunch of morons...Yahoo actually admitted they "obtained" the report. Its a medical report...wtf is wrong with you? Kudos to CJ Wilson...when everyone else was kissing Passan's ass he confronted him directly and asked "How in the f**k did you get hold of his medical report?". I think Passan at that point was like "uh oh" because he wasn't responding at least when I was following... This could get ugly if MLB do their due diligence...

It's different when it is released by the organization or agent the player is signed with. It shouldn't come from a report leaked by a GM with the intent to cause harm. MLB needs to look at this...

I don't know...this whole thing is shady. When I saw the story I couldn't believe Yahoo were reporting damaging information from a report they shouldn't have had access too. That seems like a clear HIPAA violation to me...disclosing personal medical information that can cause financial loss or damage to reputation. CJ Wilson tweeted that it was outrageous Yahoo had the report and Buster Olney hinted very strongly it was Dipoto that leaked it with the intention of making Ohtani and the Angels look bad. The only people with access to the report were the 7 GM's that made the final cut. I would ask Jeff Fletcher if MLB are looking at this but I'm not on twitter and I don't know how to message on here...

There's a possibility this Eppler guy knows what he's doing... To the haters...whatever you do don't follow Kinsler on Instagram...you might start to think he's a pretty cool dude...
