Addison Reed would be awesome. We should target him. He has pitched with White Sox and D-Backs who have hitter friendly ballparks. He's young too and we could possibly build with him in future. Plus he's local to from San Diego State.

Do any of our young pitchers have any f'n command? Why is command always an issue !?

Why can't we just bring up a guy like Morin or Bedrosian or Berg? All 3 of these guys have more potential than Salas or Jepsen.

It's really hard to believe that we are in such deep trouble regarding the pitching situation, but we really are. It's gonna be really hard to trade for a pitcher who can actually be useful to us. Not many teams trade those types of guys. So we are gonna have to hit the jackpot and get really lucky that a pitcher who isn't that sought after turns into gold for us. I still think we should go all out and get Tanaka regardless of price.

He should trade Scioscia to one of the numerous teams who will be lining up at the door.
 
Dipoto should get another year; one of the reasons he is here is because of Scioscia's poor personnel decisions (Wells, Napoli, etc).

I'd say the Angels are two GOOD starting pitchers (legitimate #3 SP in MLB) and a good bullpen arm away from being in the middle of a playoff race, and this is assuming that Garrett Richards is as good as I believe he is, which is a solid #3/4 SP for right now.  
 
The good bullpen arm may already be in their system.  Mike Morin, Nick Maronde and R.J. Alvarez should all be in the bullpen in the next year, and when combined with Frieri, a healthy Burnett, De La Rosa, Kohn and Jepsen, you're look at a really good staff.  
 
The hard part is getting those two good SP that I talked about.  I wouldn't be terribly disappointed if the Angels dealt Kendrick, money, Cron and Grichuk to Tampa Bay for Jeremy Hellickson, then use the 9 million they cleared off payroll in that trade to try and sign Matt Garza.

I don't get everyone's hesitation with trading away Aybar and Howie. Both players are solid players but they are not championship type role players we want. We are already screwed so why not trade these dudes for some promising prospects who will help us. We aren't going anywhere anyway.

Is anyone surprised that after Mike Butcher came out to talk to Coello that he suddenly started to lose his command and couldn't find the strike zone?

I have to question Sosh here. How can you bring in Kohn when we had better options in De La Rosa and Coello? Is he playing that senority card again? Just because Kohn has been in the majors longer than the other two doesnt mean anything over actual talent.

Originally me and the kiddos were filmed for the piece but they decided to stick with the story of Jerome and his mother, which I think was actually perfect for today. It was definitely a tear jerker so have your Kleenex on hand

I actually think there could be something here. I mean if we think about Trout he was comfortable last season playing center and leading off. I know it doesn't look like big deal moving him to lead off and batting him 2, but I just think he needs to be comfortable and himself this way.

Congrats to Michael Roth! Spectacular debut for the young kid. I loved how he came in with the no fear attitude and mowed down the hitters. Most importantly he didn't walk anyone and didn't nibble around. We need more relievers like this guy.
