I've really enjoyed him, offers different insight and he isnt Jose Mota which is a +1 just for that reason.

I forget how much of an optimist Gubi is on color commentary until King Fish subs for him. Salmon calls out players when they are struggling, and pretty much tells it like it is. Its a refreshing change.

He does make quite a few mistakes (like calling Jared Weaver "Gerald", and saying CJ Wilson only pitched in 5 games last year), but he is still better now, then most others will ever be.

Is being able to listen to Vin Scully call the game, the man is a national treasure and represents everything I love about Baseball. Gubi and Rojas are awesome, but Vinny is in a class all his own.

I still watch for one very simple reason: Its still Baseball, and its still a beautiful game (well for every opposing team but i digress), the games which we do win, things will go right, and everything will click, and for one night, the Angels will have played a good game. All of us Angels fans who were fans before 2002 know what its like to be rooting for a team that was most famous up until then for a movie featuring Danny Glover, and Joseph Gordon Levitt, and we knew that most seasons would end in disappointment. I watched when we would finish in last place, I watched when the Mariners beat us in the one game playoff, and I will watch this year, even if we end up in last place. I'll bitch and moan and crack Fat Trout jokes, but I still love this team more then any other professional sports team.

I've been impressed by Trumbo this year, looking at his at-bats he adjusts during a game and doesnt look lost like he did the second half of last season.

Yeah, he really worked on his approach during spring training and was poised to have a better year this year, now had he stayed on the Angels no way he is hitting what he is hitting in Yankee-land, I think the fact he has something to prove, and felt welcomed in NY unlike here, are big parts in his success.

So we just sweeped the Tigers and its crickets in here, except some DFA Hamilton posts. We actually looked pretty damn good this weekend, even without Hamilton producing, do I think that means this season is going to magically turn around? Nope But give credit where its due, we won games against a really good team, had pretty good starting pitching, pretty good bullpen, and production from "most" of our lineup. Great job Halos keep it up!

So far from what I've seen, Jimenez is a combination of David Eckstein/Erick Aybar, bringing a lot of energy out there to a team that sorely needs it, he will most likely average out, but I do like what he brings to the team, especially right now.
