Yeah his timing or mechanics seem off.

This isn't the type of season for him not to come out of the gate strong... especially when he's going to miss a few games after the birth of his kid.

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the players' timing were off due to the lack of reps since March. looks like Ohtani is starting to get his swing back, and Trout will most likely regain his timing soon as he gets his reps in.

Surface transmission is pretty much non-existent so disinfecting is just a placebo.

I did sit in a room for 8 hours a day for 2 days with someone who ended up testing positive for Covid. We all had masks though and i'm at day 7 since initial contact with no symptoms. I actually had to get tested today because I found out this morning I was exposed. I personally don't feel I was in close enough contact with them for me to have gotten infected, and like you said, surface transmission hasn't been documented (that I am aware of)

  3. Shohei's breaking ball didn't look terrible, some spots could have been called strikes on the breaking ball, his fastball was off but his velocity did start to improve (91-92 but was hitting 94-95 before he got yanked), although his control on the FB never improved. I don't think he threw a single splitter (Maybe he threw 1?) so basically what we saw was a pitcher who looked like he was in his 2nd or 3rd Spring Training start.

So in conclusion there is no conclusion.
