I don't see a whole lot of choice with at least giving Wilson the shot at the beginning of the season.  He's making what he is making and he really isn't the kind of guy you want in the pen.  I also highly doubt anyone is going to trade for him.
 
Hopefully Sosh shows as much patience with him next season as he showed with him his last few starts, ie, barely any.

Well, to be fair there were a lot of old threads brought back.  There was definitely some "I told you so's" going on.
 
Regardless, doesn't matter, the folks that wanted Sosh gone before the season started are the same ones that still want him gone now.  Nothing changes. 

Yeah, I think they need to worry more about the government clinics that are supposed to have some oversight.  In many places the locals will travel 3 times as far to avoid those places.  Many are scary, scary pits.
 
That isn't to say that all mission clinics are awesome, I'm sure there are some out there that aren't.  But usually they have more people looking at them than the government ones do. 

The "Fire Scioscia" crowd basically had to shut up as the regular season unfolded and the Angels went on to have the best record in baseball.  It probably frustrated the crap out of them.  Now that the Angels were bounced in the first round - they have new life and a new reason to rant again. It was only a matter of time.

I think the stretching Rasmus idea is sketchy.  I'm guessing if the Angels management believed he was capable of being stretched they would have done so.  My opinion is his success came from being able to throw hard knowing he wasn't going more than four innings.  I just don't think it is something the team should count on moving forward.

Thought this was a fair article written by an atheist.  I understand the discomfort he has.  Knowing a decent amount about at least two clinics in Africa I also know that the care and quality is extremely important to the staff.

I understand that the team got everyone very excited and that they should have beat the royals.  I don't expect everyone to have a sunny disposition yet.  I just wish they would stick with salient points.  I understand being pissed about Hamilton being played and I find that a good point to make.
 
However, I just can't deal with "they need to find clutch players for the playoffs" or things like that.

All I know is that Jered Weaver has said this was the best clubhouse he's every been associated with.  I think that speaks to Mike Scioscia to some degree. 
 
Who would have realistically put Calhoun in the lead off spot early on or had Aybar bat 5th or 6th -  two moves that helped make the team successful?  Who would of had the courage to use the bull-pen lead by Rasmus to start several games?  His move to put Howie in the four hole also paid off down the stretch. 
 
Scioscia did a great job, IMO.

In these three games the Royals pitched, hit and defended better.  I think the Angels should have won this series but not gotten through the next round.  Shoe, Weave and then nothing.

Because every team should look to improve.  Fairly simple concept.

No more asinine than the idea of firing a manager who took his team to 98 wins when nobody, and I mean nobody, thought they would even come close to that.  No more asinine than making a value judgement on three games when the players forgot how to hit.

They aren't the good guys in anything when it comes to the middle east.  There may be no ISIS without U.S. interference for the last 40+ years. 

That would certainly be a myopic point of view.  Lets take a look at how the U.S. has handled themselves in the middle east the last few decades.  Iran, put in a puppet dictator who fleeced the country and was completely corrupt until the country couldn't stand it anymore and tossed him out, now they are a bitter enemy.  Irag, propped up Saddam because he was warring against bitter enemy Iran and let him wreak havok in his own country for decades, killing, maiming, raping and plundering until he dared cross the U.S. by trying to invade Kuwait.  Then we had to deal with him.
Afghanistan, propped up the Taliban and gave them weapons, encouraged their opiate trade as a means to keep funded while fighting the Russians.  Now we are still losing young men and women to that very group.

If I were the Kurds I certainly wouldn't consider the U.S. friends.

Oh I agree Chuck, I just don't get the myopic viewpoint of the Sosh haters.

Now that the season is over it is really going to be up to the individual fan on how they view it.  
 
I view it very positively as a whole.  I am disappointed with how it ended of course and wish the team played at least average for them in this series. 
 
That doesn't mean there aren't things that can't be better about the team going forward.
