Ducks are in full control right now. Andersen was a beast. Ducks didn't push as hard in the 2nd and most of the 3rd. Glad Hampus came through with that goal. So pumped for Freddie. The fans were ruthless tonight with their chants. Our section started a "We want Hiller" chant and we're right behind the Calgary bench. So damn funny. Cool story, sat next to fellow AW member Gavin tonight. That was random and funny. Got to discuss the failure that is the Angels during intermission. Good times!

The days are so boring without Ducks hockey.
Rangers handled Pittsburgh in a pretty boring series.
I am hoping Vancouver can push Calgary to 7. I hope Ottawa can push Montreal to 7, as well.

Unbelievable. The refs are abysmal in this game.

Frustrating loss. I think I counted 3 wide open nets missed in the 1st period...
The Canucks were much more physical than us tonight. They were hitting the shit out of the Ducks through the first two and the Ducks didn't answer with anything. Very frustrating.
EDIT: And another thing, stop jumbling the lines. Keep Fleisch-Kes-Silf and keep Sekac-Rakell-Etem. I know Perry and Getzlaf seem to be struggling, but Palmieri isn't doing shit on that top line. Either take him off of it when Beleskey returns or figure something else out, but Palmieri on that top line is not cutting it. If you are going to keep jumbling the lines, put Sekac up there with the twins and see how that works.

Goalies notoriously don't get great value in trades. Also, they're both young and cheap. The Ducks are a budget team, so they'd have to add another contract (probably more expensive than an ELC) and then have another contract on top of that. Plus they just added 5.5 M with Wiz. They don't have the financial flexibility of teams like Toronto or even the Kings.

Millennials taught by baby boomers. I always find it interesting how the older generations almost exclusively place blame on the younger generations for eroding skills, education, etc.

Not from this article, but even the title of this thread can be construed as the Millennials are the problem.
I am a Millennial. I graduated from college in one of the worst job markets in US history. I get tired of hearing that we are lazy, need our hands held for everything, or we are the issue with why this country is struggling.
College tuition is absolutely ridiculous now (there's a bubble coming with all of the college debt that's being accrued), and I'm just as guilty in this with my current loans for grad school. Also large corporations work for shareholders, and stock prices for that matter. I can't tell you how many of my friends out of college only got temporary jobs who were over qualified for many of the positions they were taking.
With college prices exploding and more graduates noticing a diminishing return on their "investment", it's no wonder skills are eroding. Is it really worth going $40,000 in debt for a degree these days? And that's only for a cheaper public school. USC's tuition is pushing $50,000 a year; that's JUST the tuition. Then grad school gets even worse where med students are 200-300k in debt when they graduate.
In short, the system is broken. The system that was established by older generations. Yet, it's "congrats millennials" or "boomers gave us too much for anyone to be capable of tying his or her own shoes".

Like any profession, there's good teachers and bad teachers.
I think people skills and being able to relate is a critical skill in teaching

valid point. i think we've all seen a tremendous amount of lazy parenting over the last twenty years. kids aren't as creative because their parents want to do so much of everything for them. it's like every parent has become a little league parent. back off and let the kids figure out some thing for themselves.

Gavin reacted to Stradling in The veiwster app ad on our Mobile Version
Hey Chuck, or someone that has some knowledge of our advertising. Is there a way to get rid of the viewster app? At least on the mobile app, which is the only way I view our content, it is horrible to deal with this ad. The lag time is crazy shitty, and it doesn't take you to the last post read. I realize this is one of those first world problems, but it sucks and takes some of the enjoyment out of all of this.

I liked Sekac a lot with Rakell and Etem. That line looked good the last two nights. So much depth, wow.
