Garbage ass pitcher.

I fucking hate Canning. He really is a can. He's never going to be a good, consistent starter for us.
-
This winning shit is fun. Can we keep it up?

Detmers looking great in the first. Is this the year it clicks and he elevates his game to a 1/2 type of pitcher.

How the fuck did Ippei have access to “millions” of Ohtani’s money without Shohei knowing? This is fucking weird.

The Dodgers will have a strangle hold on the Japanese market for the next 10-12 years because of these two signings. I expect them to be in the running for every major talent that is posted because they've got the money and the market.
2 opt out options for Yamamoto, a $50 million dollar signing bonus, and no deferments. Insane deal for him without ever throwing a pitch in MLB.

The Dodgers' have been planning for this offseason for awhile now. I'm honestly impressed with their management.
-
I wonder if he accepted deferred money, too?

$1.075 billion on two players is an interesting strategy.
When they've got endless money for it; does it matter to them?

If this turns into a slow leak to the media of how difficult it was to adjust to Ohtani, how the players weren't comfortable, etc.. thats fucking pathetic. He moved on; its time to move on too. It looks very bitter and immature on our end if this shit starts leaking out. Nobody said a single negative thing about him when he was here for 6 yeears; don't fucking start doing it now.
-
Fuck Arte for not trading him. That prospect haul could've been a nice boost to the farm system; even if it was a 1/2 year rental.

The Dodgers received the same medical reports and figured they could take the risk end knowing the reward.
This. There is no way in hell the Dodgers gave him that contract without full disclosure of his medicals. Also, isn't the surgeon who performed the surgery like the head of the Dodgers medical staff?

We couldn't win with Ohtani on a cheap contract. We weren't winning with him on the contract the Dodgers gave him.
100% this. I don't fault Arte for not matching the contract; it just sucks knowing that the offer was there to match it lol. No guarantee he still would've picked us had Arte said yes BUT I fail to see why at this point; any Angel fan would fault him or hate him for leaving.
We didn't win with him; we weren't going to win with him on this contract. Too many holes to fill.

And there it is...

The Rays usually win trades...Dodgers going all in. Wonder if they pulled the trigger now because they got news on Yamamoto? Or wonder if they pulled it with the Yamamoto deal having no impact on their decision making.
-
I saw on Reddit that Bobby also said he believes the Angels' were given a chance to match but it was too expensive for Arte, he believes?
