  1. Scioscia argued this in a game against the Yankees when Posada caught a pop up with his glove and mask. In front of the umpire he shook off his glove to unwedge the ball from the mask to get a new ball for the pitcher. Guess how that appeal ended.
  2. Nolan Ryan was the first pitcher to sign a $1 million a year contract for 4 years. Considered a long term risk at the time.
  3. I think Chuck needs to make the likes open to liking the same post 10,000 times in a day.
  4. "Lots of teachers get fired or asked to resign for the same things I did," Sprauer told HuffPost. She knew in advance she was jepordizing her job so in fact she did something wrong. "I knew I didn't want to come back next year and I knew I wanted to go to grad school so I decided if I made it to the end of the year I would be happy." I can only imagine how little was accomplished in her class when she already planned to bail. But, her students liked her.
  5. He wasn't the Rangers every day catcher. Played in fewer games his 2 years in Texas than his previous two years for the Angels. He has not caught one game for the Red Sox this season.
  6. Why do I care when it is not related to Benghazi? You see individual events can have their own individual significance or just be a diversion to ignore a more significant event. Demeaning the significance of an attack on an embassy makes me wonder if you guys just like the mental masturbation of talking politics like politicians.
  7. You seriously cannot understand the difference between a transport plane crash and an attack on a US Embassy that resulted in the death of the Embassador? Glen, you are a dumbass sometimes.
  8. Napoli played more innings than Mathis.
  9. Which player has the brilliant season to stand in front his teammates and list their faults?
  10. F'n Scioscia can't even keep a streak alive.
  11. Would you like to name all of the trustworthy arms in that bullpen with more than 10 innings of work?
  12. Palmdale is a dump and low lifes there train pit bulls to be mean. By nature they are actually very friendly dogs but because of their strength they are trained by people that should be behind bars. You know them, NFL quarterbacks.
  13. What an idiot. It is plain to see Bruce parts his hair on the left and I on the right.
  14. The point is the bullpen has no resason to be trusted over a starter at this point, Scott Downs came in with a clean slate and nearly ****ed the game wide open for the Astros.
  15. I am so sick and tired of hearing about what great leadership Torii provided last year. Torii was gone for two weeks to fix his most important leadership problem in his life, his son. The Angels had three years of Torii leading them where after Vlad left? He made a lot of noise in the press but that doesn't mean he was leading anyone to better themselves.
  16. How much inside information do you guys really think you have on what goes on in the clubhouse?
  17. They will claim they didn't mean Downs in this particular situation.
  18. Someone mentioned Scot ****ing Downs to come in and pitch?
  19. Someone needed to tip over a buffet table to prove their commitment.
  20. The feed for the umpires is sent to them by a technician in New York. The technician choose which replay angles are the most telling. Hernandez and the crew have to make the determination on what the replay technician gives them as a feed.
  21. Revisionist history. The save was never recognized as a stat until 1969. So Grover Cleveland was never awarded a save for the game, he was just credited with it 40+ years later, it was never a part of the official scoring for the 1929 World Series. A pitcher before 1969 was either awarded the win or loss regardless if you were a starter or reliever. Makes more sense than the participation award we now call the save which is based on how many runs the lead is and how many hitters reach base.
  22. No one, saves were not an official stat in 1926.
  23. For years there was talk of using that location for a new football stadium.
