We've already seen enough of most of the bullpen, so as many as possible of those guys need to be sent out.
They can be replaced with Joyce, Darrell-Hicks, Erla, Langford, and Mederos.
I'd keep Moore around to mentor all of them, mostly because he's the only guy who is pitching like he wants to be here.

We just need to be very sure that we're not drafting the next Kaleb Cowart or Chevy Clarke. BPA, please.
Also, a lot of people seem to be down on Schanuel, I think it's a bit early for that. He was obviously rushed,
give him a full season's worth of at bats, and an offseason to train, and evaluate him at the end of the 2025 season.
It doesn't help the organizations talent levels to trade him after 1 or 1 and a half seasons and have him become a good player on another team.

I was just going to post about this. Where do you suppose that Stevens will be assigned? All throughout our system it seems that none of our infielders can hit, so we sign another one that has trouble putting bat to ball. He's a repeater at AA, so maybe he replaces Paris there?

I would happily trade most of the current members of the bullpen to bring these guys up. The one guy who I would keep is Moore, he could mentor the kids as they find their comfort zones in the Angels bullpen.

I'd trade Rengifo if I could. As good as he's been with the bat, he's defensively challenged everywhere he plays, with the possible exception of 2B.
If he continues to hit, he should at least bring back a good prospect, somewhere inside the acquiring teams top 10-15.

Regardless of how good Anderson is pitching, he's still a number 4/5 starter at best on a contending team. You're not throwing him out there in the playoffs and feeling great about it. A small loss of control and he's a homerun derby pitcher. You absolutely shop him but the Angels won't be blown away by the return.
Anderson also has a very team friendly contract with another full season to run on it. A return may be nicer than you think.

With the stuff that Sandoval and Detmers occasionally trot out there, they should be winning pitchers. The problem seems to be that neither of them is capable of building on a successful outing the next time out, or the time after.
So far in their careers, they haven't been able to prove that they are capable of doing that.

I will be happier to see Rendon and his contract off the books than I was when Albert's contract was off the books. Except for the 1 mil per year for 10 years in personal services, which means he shows to ST for a week and does nothing.

Contreras is at least as good as Cisnero, and possibly Garcia. I wouldn't be very comfortable if I were Estevez, either.

After all, there are only 32 of these jobs in the industry. If you had one, wouldn't you do what the owner asked you to do, so that you could keep it?
-
Hopefully, at 5'6, he has a decent understanding of his strike zone, and he may develop into a good spare part as a reserve OF and pinch hitter.
With a catcher's throwing arm, he could be useful as a reserve corner OF.

Nice article on Gustavo Campero

I've been wondering about Campero. He's swinging a good bat in AA, another HR tonight.

Adell should be hitting in the 5-6 hole all season long, regardless of matchups. The team needs his power potential now.

There is no Star power on this team without Trout. If ownership doesn’t sign Burnes & Guerrero Jr. the team will be mediocre for a long time.
-
I'll say he's a genius. Purchase the team for 168 million. Turn down an offer of 3 billion with a 10 percent equity retention.
When he sells, he is going to make an incredible amount of money.

Ms. I respect that you endure this place. I really do. But plz. What the fuck are you talking about? lol.
In defense of katie, I've been to plenty of Angels games when the product on the field was bad. It has been awhile since the product has been this bad, however.

7 for 77 and he still gets recalled. Wow. Chuck, suit up. I am sure you can hit better than some of these guys.

Could Rengifo be on the move?

I became an Angels fan in '66 so I've seen almost every decade of failure. This latest one has probably been the worst to suffer through. It is like the Ryan years where we had one of the best pitchers on the worst team.
I was just behind Blarg, 1970 for me. It felt like we couldn't score at all in the early 70's, kind of like what's going on now. Relying on mediocre hitters that have washed out of other organizations as our 3-4-5 hitters is bad, really bad. We can only hope that the draft can bring in a serious influx of talent, both at the plate and on the mound.
One thing that I've never understood is that so many good So. Cal based players become stars for other teams, but the Angels never seem to draft any of them. Troy Glaus is about the only one that comes to mind that was a local guy selected by the Angels.

Not even with 680 million deferred?

If Anderson can keep pitching at an ERA below 3.50, every contender will make an offer. His contract is also team friendly for a SP.
Rengifo has value for the bat alone. Drury has value if the bat improves. Estevez would bring back a nice return. I would trade Sandoval as a change of scenery candidate, hoping I could get a decent minor league SP in return.
O'Hoppe, Neto, Schanuel, and Adell have to stay as part of a core of young talent. Same for Detmers and Soriano. Dana and Kerry are untouchable, IMO.
-
No news. Rengifo can hit, but his defense sucks, no matter where he plays.

I wonder if Rengifo is on trade block.
Rengifo is one guy I would definitely trade. I wonder if the Dodgers are still interested? We could trade him there for some of their talent that is hopelessly blocked.

You think, Ron? Cimber was OK last night, but I think maybe back to backs don't agree with him. P.S. Ron, Cimber doesn't exactly have the kind of stuff that puts the fear of God in a team like the Yankees.
If a reliever isn't going to throw strikes, like Cimber, I'd rather see Joyce and his 102 mph in the game. Just a hint, Ron.
