  1. Highly unlikely. Dude has to be able to afford his condo on his own, probably just has a friend live there to watch it while he's gone more than anything else.
  2. On tonight's Monday Night Baseball telecast, Rick Sutcliffe just ranted about how cheaters cost Wally Joyner more all star game appearances, championships, etc. Enjoy. http://youtu.be/usZi7AZketY
  3. I was surprised Harris was up as long as he was. I thought they might bring Chris Nelson back though.
  4. Since you have established that Trumbo apparently sucks, what makes you think you can land anything decent in return for him?
  5. What does that mean? What was the context?I enjoyed last night's game. It's the first one I have sat through from start to finish until 2003. It was nice they kept Trout in until the 8th, but it was dumb to pinch hit for him.
  6. Hearing Dick Enberg on the call on the live feed that ESPN showed on SportsCenter and BBTN, it's really a shame the Angels didn't bring him back.
  7. There was. Jim DeShaies specifically said those would probably be for a throw-over or pitch out. Don't know why Kasper mentioned pitch calling.
  8. Managers are stupid to skip their star pitchers so that they can pitch in a more or less irrelevant exhibiton.
  9. I watched the WGN broadcast. Jim Deshaies repeeatedly said the wind was not blowing out like it was yesterday. Those balls were all crushed.
  10. Nats vs Phils earlier - Haren lost.
  11. Jaime's damn versatile too. Last year she took over hosting "Angels Live" when Chris McGee jumped ship to the Lakers channel. The past few weeks she has done "Angels Weekly" as Alex Curry was not available for whatever reason. Same thing that happened in June when she was covering NBA playoffs for TNT for a couple weeks. Someone else fills in - probably Kent French.
  12. I really don't understand this thread. Orel said many times that the Angels outplayed the Red Sox throughout the course of the broadcast. You have a former Dodger, former Philly and a Canadian play by play guy up there. While ESPN in general has a bias, I certianly didn't hear it in this game, especially as the game went along and went the way it did. There was one Rangers vs Tigers Sunday night game where they hardly talked about the Rangers....I didn't hear that tonight. They called out Shuck and Trumbo on crappy defense, they gushed over Trout, talked about Albert's injuries and how he should be DLed, they were even praising Hamilton. They said Howie Kendrick should be an all star. Somebody mentioned they they showed Pedroia's hot zone...they showed Hamilton's as well. That was when he had a called 3r dstrike despite it being out of the zone....did you complainers even watch the whole broadcast? I think the difference is I think Victor and Mark are TOTAL ANGEL HOMERS, and if you interpret what they do as 'normal' for a broadcast, I can see why a national broadcast would be frustrating to you.
  13. Puig isn't having a 'decent' month, he's having an unbelievable month. Did Trout hit .450 in his first month? Not even close. I'm sure Puig will come down to Earth, but it's definitely been enjoyable to see him in the highlights, and it's certainly given Dodger fans a reason to watch their team again. I don't know why people hate him just because he plays for the Dodgers. I don't have a problem with him, but I do hate AJ Pierzynski.
  14. Why doesn't Chris Nelson replace Harris? He was decent.
  15. If so, they should have called him up.
  16. Maybe they don't want to waste an option year on Calhoun being this far out of it.
  17. He was rescued several times by boneheaded baserunning by the Astros. His numbers could have ended up looking a lot worse if not for that, IMO. Those other pitchers could have avoided some big innings if they had that fortune. Conger had some excellent throws.
  18. Means nothing - Freddy Garcia had a no hitter through 6.
  19. That's going to be a pretty thin bench, especially if Josh's wrist hasn't healed.
  20. Richards has been more reliable than Downs, at least until this week.
  21. "Guys like this"? Saunders was an all star for the Angels. He has bad road numbers this year, but Angel Stadium is a pitcher's park. Shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who has watched the Joe the last several years.
  22. When my friend had season tickets in the mid 00's, one year the Angels stopped using their TicketExchange and went to StubHub...I don't know if the new ticketexchange is like the old ticketexchange, but I remember he was very frustrated because it was apparently way easier to list them on the ticketexchange, he never bothered to learn stubhub and stopped being a SSH eventually.
  23. They spent way too much time on that IMO. It did not look like it was interfered with.
