  1. I'm trying to decide between Center Ice and GameCenter. Not all of the games on Center Ice are in HD. But GameCenter cuts in and out depending on your connection and I get alerts or texts from friends 30 seconds before the goal is scored. What to do...
  2. I see, so it's important to you to be the TMZ of Angelswin.com. To each their own.
  3. The first page of this thread is full of so many incorrect facts/reports it's embarrassing
  4. This team is championship caliber when it gets production out of guys like Murphy, Iannetta and Johnny G. The problem lies in whether or not those guys can come through often enough in a playoff series to win.
  5. Joyce can't be DFA'd because he was put on the 7 day DL. That was the reason Navarro was DFA'd. He's 29. Dude was dispensable.
  6. This team has made explosive trades that didn't work (Grienke, Teixiera) Maybe, explosive trades aren't the way to go?
  7. Taking Joc Pederson to 'protect' Trout in the lineup wouldn't suck.
  8. Twins would definitely be interested in trading Hicks, but they aren't interested in just dumping him. Twins will want too much in return. Hicks has always shown flashes of his ability in between ginormous slumps. I wouldn't trade anything more than a mid-level prospect personally. He's a huge project still even though he has hit well the past week or so. The Twins are currently in a wild-card spot. If they deal Hicks, they will want a bullpen arm (preferably a 7th or 8th inning guy) in return at the very least.
  9. The last time Cuban got upset with the NBA, he got his wish. NBA Free Agency will have different rules next offseason because of this.
  10. Doc, Griffin, Redick all in Houston today trying to beg DJ to come back to LAC
  11. I guess next off season we will find out if people are staying away from the Lakers solely because of Kobe or not. I'm starting to think next year will be the same old song and dance.
  12. After the showtime era, at least the team was still competitive. Maybe the West wasn't as competitive so it didn't take as much talent. But Van Exel, Threatt, Ceballos, Elden Campbell, Eddie Jones... those teams were still competitive. I think the Lakers missed the playoffs only once during that stretch. I don't see this team getting to 45 wins for 3 more years. That's a much longer playoff drought than this franchise has faced before during their transition between title contenders.
  13. They have whiffed twice in free agency. This organization won't be attractive to a free agent for at least 3 more years when Randle and Russell are more developed. And that's if both reach any kind of projected ceiling. If one of them is a bust, or not quite the player the organization hoped, then they are even further away from being a threat to get a big named free agent in 3 years. State taxes are coming into play here too. Jordan and Aldridge went to Texas because they get more for their money there. Not just because Dallas and SA are better organizations to play for. The Lakers will have to already be quite talented and 'one player away' for a free agent to take the tax hit they will take by signing here.
  14. Because 2 rookies and a gimp should be play awesome next season
  15. Roy Hibbert, Lou Williams, Brandon Bass... hardly a splash. This team still blows.
  16. I would think that Randle comes off the bench to start the season if the Lakers get LA. Aldridge would likely split his time between the 4 and 5 pretty evenly each game. Is there a defensive minded center that would come to the Lakers for less money? A Perkins type that could start but only play about 20 mins a game.
  17. I heard that Riles promised Wade he would get paid at the end for taking less to win rings. He's seeking more than $16M per year. Heat will likely sign him and give him a max deal. If they don't that arena will be a ghost town.
  18. If LeBron comes to LA, Cleveland will burn down LA
  19. I did see a tweet that the Lakers were prepared to offer a 4 year max contract to LA. I would prefer him over everyone else available but I don't see him fitting well with Randle since LA prefers to play the 4.
  20. I think I heard he was at a Del Taco with Kobe
  21. Murray is smart. The Ducks could play one way only last season. Increasing the team speed and helping the team play a speed game as well as a power game will only benefit the Ducks. I see nothing wrong with Murray's statement.
  22. Flip Saunders liked him at first, but the rest of the front office convinced him that Towns was the better pick and more complete player. It had nothing to do with what Okafor wanted or didn't want.
  23. Love is a terrible acquisition for a team with no low post defenders. I would have been all in on Kevin Love if the team was able to draft Towns.
