  1. Any thought to asking Scotty Niedermeyer? I wouldn't mind giving him a shot over a retread.
  2. Will a new coach be able to tell the team they are starting from scratch and the C and both A's have to be earned? This way, it doesn't look like Getz is being stripped of the C as much.
  3. I'm ok with Walton. Very high BBall IQ. Always thought he would make a great coach. Always knows where players should be off the ball. Understands all of the little things. Definite upgrade from Byron Scott. I just don't know if he's intriguing to top FAs across the league.
  4. It's not just Game 7's. He's lost each game 6 as well in those close out scenarios.
  5. BB starting Stoner and pairing him with Despres was mistake #1. Dropping McGinn to the 4th line was mistake #2. BB isn't unlucky. It's a definite pattern. Look at his failures in the playoffs with the Caps. This was the Ducks best game of the series? Are you kidding? What game were you watching? Ducks missed on a lot of center ice passes, failed to dump the puck in the offensive zone, refused to get in front of Rinne in the first period. Best game of the series?
  6. Paid a visit to First Avenue yesterday.
  7. Simmons or Ingram? Is that basically what the Lakers are looking at? I can't see them taking anyone but one of these two.
  8. Maybe I am naive, but I doubt the entire NBA is cheating on their wives/girlfriends. I don't think the entire league will avoid playing for the Lakers as long as Russell is there. He's a kid. Probably learned his lesson. I hope Nick Young gets what he deserves.
  9. any time you can stay in the pacific time zone, you take it. The fewer the miles traveled the better.
  10. I wonder if those that were pissed that Erin Andrews got $55M are even more pissed that Hulk Hogan got $115M. Probably not.
  11. Sounds like Fowler is having a difficult time with the full face shield. Some guys just can't adjust. Not sure how much longer he needs to wear it.
  12. My guess is, seeing as how he is on the shutdown line, he's being asked to stay back more and not releasing. Same goes for Kes and Silf. If either of those guys played with Perry and Rakell, their offensive output would dramatically increase.
  13. Are there any examples of a platoon where both players played to their projected numbers? On any team, not just the Angels. I feel like one if not both players never reach their numbers in a platoon situation.
  14. If I can trade 2 cans of lima beans for a dented can of chicken noodle soup, I'm gonna do it.
  15. He only has to play it for about 6 or 7 innings about 2/3rds of the season when he faces righties. And if Nava impresses this Spring and makes the roster... Saunders would play even less.
  16. I was really pulling for Truex coming off of 4. I actually didn't realize Hamlin hadn't won a 500. I thought he had for some reason.
  17. I would hang out there as well. Actually I was behind the 11th tee and 10th green so I could see all of the 10th hole as well as see everyone tee off on 11. Amazing how many drives were right down the middle on 11. I would have hit trees on both sides of that fairway.
  18. Thanks Tank. I do have the one practice round on Wednesday. I'm going to use that opportunity to nail down a spot on the course where I can see the most action. Thinking about following a group in the morning rounds on the weekend and picking a location in the afternoon to watch the field play through in the afternoon rounds.
  19. Has anyone here attended a Ryder Cup event? I bought tickets for this years' event at Hazeltine. I have the wednesday practice round and Friday-Saturday all day passes. My current thought is to get to the first tee for Friday's opening round for the intros and then follow a couple of pairings that are the most intriguing.
  20. Best Dunk contest since Vince Carter in 2000 I believe. Aaron Gordon's leap over the mascot, to a sitting position, bringing the ball under his legs and dunking one handed belongs among the best dunks of all time. https://youtu.be/49REfDBUQEY
  21. I'm just glad that Kobe has shut up the naysayers after his putrid start. It's nice to see him still have success at age 37 in the NBA.
  22. He's a triple crown threat. I feel he is capable of a couple of Miguel Cabrera type years in his late 20's early 30s. The point being, he hasn't peaked in my opinion.
