It seems like the season is starting just like the majority of seasons. Someone lies which gets the club into a world of shit and a lot of people die. I'm kind of glad they are wrapping up this show. Hopefully in the end Gemma is the only one left standing (via killing Jax) and everyone who watches the show gets pissed. If the US drops out of Nato, I don't see any changes in the way of life of Germany or the UK. They don't have their military hands in multiple cookie jars like we do. And if something crazy happens like Russia threatening to invade Germany or the UK (which would never happen) then I think they know in the end we would always assist them against the likes of the Ruskis.

Like I said in the Iraq thread, this is the perfect opportunity to let the countries that are threatened by IS in the Middle East to fight this battle themselves and if they ask us for assistance I wouldn't be opposed to hearing them out (that even includes Iran). And MT, I would absolutely agree with Demascus not matter if we are no longer friends with the Assad regime or not. If we go and bomb in Eastern Syria it's completely an act of war IME.

England and certainly Germany doesn't need anything from us. If we are talking about countries like Estonia or Georgia then maybe I'll agree with you but not the big two of Europe. And Turkey is doing just fine right now with IS doing bad things in neighboring countries. I figure they view the situation one of two ways: 1) America is going full bore again? They'll handle it so we don't need to waste our resources helping. or 2) They realize that IS are just a bunch of punk bitches and they'll wait until IS has the balls to attack Turkey to do something. I'm just saying if I'm Turkey I do the same exact thing.

To be honest Nate, I don't think it has anything to do with Obama. America in the last 14 years has lost its clout. If you were the head of another country and America came knocking on your door asking for your assistance would you help? I sure as hell wouldn't.

Even though I'm up in the air on the whole conspiracy/politics side of things and have my opinions on Bush, The Patriot Act, and the way our nation was following the attacks, watching footage or listening to clips of 9/11 will always get me emotional. Too many innocent civilians and people doing good out of the kindness of their souls for me to have a black heart.
