In my opinion no you can't compare them as a whole. They might do things similar to Nazism but to just compare them to Nazis is too broad of a statement to take serious. They might do similar things as American Christians, but I'm not about to say that you can compare IS to Southern Baptists. Comparing is historical laziness in my opinion

Situation one: A country whose government takes a group of people that speaks a different language as the government, practices their own religion, has a completely different culture as the government. Said group of people is hated by the government/government supporters and either killed for their belief/culture or "forced" to put in government sponsored areas. The Nazis at the time was the greatest standing army and airforce in the world not to mention they for the most part were an entire country and one of the biggest in Europe. Can we please stop comparing IS to the Nazis?

Nazism wasn't just bombed. There was an epic land campaign where millions of civilians and soldiers were killed or injured. If you guys would like that to happen again then fantastic!

Iraq is an easy target to roll through. Turkey, Iran, Jordan on the other hand... Those countries are pretty much everything IS is against and whose borders are days away from majority of IS. IS' goal judging by that Vice video I watched is to have a borderless Islamic state. They've gone from Syria to Iraq and certainly they aren't going to stop there unless they are smart. The second they step foot on Iranian soil, those Persions will do business. This is a great opportunity for America to stay out of a conflict and god forbid let middle eastern countries hash out their own neighboring issues.

Since this group is a threat to damn near every country in the middle east, I feel this is the perfect situation to let those countries (Iran, Jordan, Turkey, etc.) deal with this group themselves. Iran being the most direct threat religious sectwise would be perfect as a developing middle eastern country to take the lead.
