  1. I would like to see Calhoun transition to 1B to split time with Albert there, but it’s hard to justify paying $14 mil for a platoon player
  2. I think it’s smart. Plus, what’s Manfred going to do? He can’t even figure out why the balls are flying out of the park or why Astros pitchers are racking up K’s at a superhuman pace.
  3. Man loved what La Stella did for us, but you gotta find a way to give every day at bats to Fletcher and Rengifo. I wonder if they’d entertain trading Simmons and letting Fletcher take over SS.
  4. Michael Roth is a free agent. We can pay him league minimum to see if he can recapture that magic he had at South Carolina. I fought it, he was pretty terrible in his brief stint with us, but were running out of options
  5. Ship Cahill and Cash Considerations off to the Nats for Taylor Guilbeau. Nats get bullpen help for the stretch run and a spot starter if needed. Cahill should do better in the NL since there’s a free out most of the time once every 9 players. Guilbeau is a lefty relief guy on the Nats AA team that intrigues me. He’s not in their top 20 prospects, but has a 1.11 WHIP and 10.9 K/9 so far this year. Rare LHP that actually does better against righties than lefties, he has a .182 BA against righties and a .266 against lefties. Though he does strike out lefties at a higher pace than righties. Just feels like like one of those prospects that just fits. Idk of Cahill is the right piece, but Guilbeau is someone I’d target.
  6. Like this team needs help putting people on the bases....
  7. And Astros batters have driven both in.... wonder if Dodger fans are having flashbacks.
  8. Joc was robbed in my opinion. Should have been awarded the same amount of rest that Vlad got.
  9. I’m not a fan of throwing at another player intentionally. Our pitchers don’t have the greatest control as it is, nor do I want any extra runners on base.
  10. 2 things stand out immediately to me... 1) Marisnik has the back half of the plate all day the whole way on that play, yet he launches himself at the front portion of the plate with his shoulder down. 2) How often do players try and slide in safe to home on the front part of the plate? Especially when they can see the whole back half wide open? Even if it wasn’t intentionally dirty, it’s a dumb facking play that has me questioning Marisnik’s intelligence.
  11. Kershaw or Buehler? I’d take Walker over Clayton these days
  12. If you say anyone other than Trout and Ohtani, you’re wrong.
  13. $3.50 says Parker and Pujols go deep tonight. Also, #WeNasty.
  14. I’ll be honest Fletch, I think Bour jumped up and started getting ready before Ausmus even said anything. It seemed like more of a “I got this coach” moment and Brad trusted his guy to get it done. I could be be totally wrong, but that’s what it seemed like to me. Either way, I’ll give him credit.
