I am hoping his reduce playing team (if Ausmus is to be believed) will help him make a decision. I am hoping Ausmus channels his in inner Dave Roberts, and let's AP play on limited basis. The doggies were paying him $21.5 million to be a role player

My son and I were discussing AP at lunch today and he asked why someone would continue to put himself through off season surgeries only to continue to struggle. He was wondering at what point does AP decide enough is enough.

The biggest way to improve this team, is quite throwing stupid money at aging stars. We are starting to see an improvement in the farm, which will translate to the big club. Eppler and more so Arte need to be smart in the player acquistion, and think about today and the next five years.

Verlander has lowered his ERA by almost a run in the last 1-1/2 years and posted a career best in K's and WHIP.

This should scare you.... Over-reaction for a non piece for us.

Expect Morton to regress. I think he will be closer to the 4.15 ERA guy than the 3.13 guy in Houston.

I'd be interested in Bogaerts....He played 3B when he first came up for a few games...could probably handle 2B just as well.

Albert will not retire this year...after this year...I could see it...especially if Ausmus channels his inner Dave Roberts, and benches Albert. Let Ohtani fulltime DH and bring a better 1B/OF option to handle first...maybe AP gets 80-90 games at 1B/DH....maybe a few PH opportunities... Also, I think La Stella who has played 2B/3B is going to be starting at one of those two positions. I can Cozart at the other, with Luis or Fletch as Util guy. Still need someone to handle 1B...

Just an FYI...La Stella has not played SS in his MLB career.....so my guess is...welcome your new starting 3Bman.

I'll pass on Harper....I'd rather invest that much money elsewhere.
