  1. Baileys 2020 is a mutual option year or 5 million buy out.
  2. This is not a cap clearing deal for the Dodgers.... Bailey with his 6.00+ ERA is signed for $23 M in 2019 and $25 M in 2020 Wood is Arb 3 eligible and a FA in 2020 Puig is Arb 3 eligible and a FA in 2020 Kemp makes $21.5 million in 2019 and is a FA in 2020 And the Reds are getting another player than the three listed and cash. The Reds will get another player and some cash in the swap, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic adds on Twitter.
  3. Righty Josiah Gray and infielder Jeter Downs are going to Los Angeles, Bob Nightengale of USA Today tweets.
  4. Sorry if I am Craigin this..... Angels' emerging stars waiting in the wings https://www.milb.com/milb/news/los-angeles-angels-have-emerging-stars-waiting-in-the-wings/c-300476790
  5. I wanted Murphy several years ago....good pass. Murphy last year at 1B: -13 Defensive Runs saved Bour last year at 1B: 0 Defensive Runs saved.
  6. Considering GRich is getting two years at 15.5 million, he is not pitching for at least one of those years....Cahill and Harvey are to bad of deals.
  7. Hermosillo is too young to sit on the bench and play sporadically. He will be ticketed for AAA, to play everyday and get regular AB's. Parker has played very little in CF I think PB has the edge, as he can play all three OF spots, and a he is a late inning pinch runner. We must remember, a fourth OFer is not a starting OFer...you are getting a guy who will play maybe 50 games a year, at the most. When it boils down to it....whomever between PB and Parker has a better spring will be the fourth OFer....Herm will be in AAA, and could be a possible trade candidate with Adell and Marsh in the wings.
  8. I'd be okay with a Tulo signing for one year to play 3B..... In 2018 Angels 3Bman: .220/.278/.369/.648 18 HR/66 RBI In 2016 Tulo: .254/.318/.443/.761 - 24/79 In 2017 (66 games) .249/.300/.378/.678 - 7/26 If he produce close to his 2016 numbers for one year....It would be solid increase at the bottom of the line up.
  9. I like the Harvey signing, especially at one year. This years staff will be interesting...I am hoping JC Ramirez makes the staff, so all five starters (Heaney, Skaggs, Harvey, Trop and Ramirez) can all be apart of the TJ club! Seriously though, this still leaves us room to pursue Kikulchi and not have to worry about next year when Ohtani returns. Also, it allows to move someone like Pena or Barria for another piece.
  10. Overreaching on the SP acquistions.... I see us picking up one new SP...Hopefully it's Kikuchi....#5 will be in house option....Pena, Trop or Canning. Also, I see us banking on the return on Middleton and Ramirez around the ASB to help bolster the pen.
  11. NO way I read through 904 pages of this.
  12. Some stats: BAA - LH Hitters OHtani .192 Barria .216 Heaney: .230 Skaggs: .231 Trop: .269 pena: .274 RH HItters: OHtani: .211 Trop: .213 Pena: .220 Heaney: .253 Barria: .269 Skaggs: .272
  13. Does it really matter? I remember the year we ran out an entire RH pitching team.... If you have quality guys who can make quality pitches, whether or not they throw from the right side of left side shouldnt matter.
  14. For me...this why I think Canning replaces him by the ASB.
  15. When do we dump the electoral college and go with the popular vote?
  16. Any chance Canning breaks into the rotation next year? Right now I see our SP as: Heaney, Skaggs, Barria, Pena (unitil Canning replaces him) and ? Possibly Kikuchi Before you all get on me about Pena...His ERA over the course of the season: June - 2.51 July 6.89 Aug 3.72 Sep 3.48 8.26 K/9 Needs to cut down on the walks....but he is a solid #4/#5 option for us, who could slide into the pen.
  17. Harper had a -3.2 dWar last year... He doesnt seem like he should be $30+ million dollar player a year.
  18. Well...there is that...? And I have hair envy... Who wore it better?
