Simers is great at what he tries to do: write purposely stupid tripe that gets people talking. He's inflammatory because it's a shtick that works for him. You guys have to know that he doesn't believe most of what he writes.

How yall doin today? Just wanted to jump on and give yall some insight on your new pitcher. Michael is the nicest kid you will ever want to meet. He has no fear, is a real loose guy and is one of the smartest people you'll meet. There's an amazing story about how Roth got his big break with South Carolina. South Carolina had lost the first game of the College World Series and had played their way back into the sesmifinal by winning every game. This had left the team with almost no rested pitchers to face our most hated rival Clemson, needing to win 2 games to advance. Roth, by some stroke of luck, ended up on the hotel elevator with then Head Coach and current AD Ray Tanner and another coach who were discussing "well, who are we going to throw today, can we get by with just getting a few innings out of each guy?". Michael turns to them and says "Coach, start me". Tanner said why not and started him expecting to get 2-3 innings out of hiim since he hadn't thrown more than 1.2 the entire season. After the 3rd inning Tanner came to Roth and said something to the effect of "Hey, great work, thanks for taking one fot the team", and Roth replied "Coach, I'm good, I'm going back out". Tanner kept coming up to him after every inning and Roth replied the same way each time. Roth went 9 innings and pitched a 3 hitter. Tanner still tells the story and ends it with "That was the day I learned to trust Michael Roth." He ended up being the Friday Starter the next two seasons as we won another CWS and finishing runner up his senior year. His throwing style may not be the most orthodox, but he knows how to get people out and he is a winner. Hope he never goes back down

Playing "guess the poster" on the mobile site was a blast.

Not as packed as I thought it would be for Trout bobblehead night albeit the weather was pretty crappy. But was cheering my butt off in section 105 with my lady for her first Angel game. This and last year my first game of the year has had ( Alberts and now Hamiltons first Hr's as an Angel ) so yay me!
We still look like a team struggling to move runners when they are on and when they are in scroring position!!! Richards pitched pretty good and so did Roth!!?? Who!!??
One more thing the crowd hated Ebel tonight he kept holding guys at third all night and it almost cost us the game luckily we have fast ass Trout who even Ebel can't say stop to! Was a great game with an amazing finish!!! Go Angels!

F'n Kendrick lousy Sac fly (+5mmHg), YES! Astros drop the ball (-2mmHg), sweet big inning time. Howie is ironically the most clutch player on the Angels... WTF doubled off a sac fly to end the inning (+15mmHg) f*** this team (+5)

They need to walk Scioscia to the door and say goodbye. I was at the game and came home. This team is the most lifeless bunch of any team I have ever seen.

It seems like he succeeded the most when he had Andrus on first base with the Rangers.
Trout should bat in front of him because so far, he's getting nothing but breaking balls.
If they throw it in the dirt, Trout gets a SB. If not, Hamilton hits it.

What's the difference? You're their all time best seller.

Ah yes, it's one of my favourite things to see at a baseball game...when entirely sold blocks suddenly empty because every single person decides to stand somewhere else.

You would act that way too if you were treated so horrendously by one of your most cherished idols. GA ruined his life.

uhhhhh he didn't really do anything objectionable during his tenure with texas until the middle of last season.

Which also happens to be when he started his slump.

Re: Cal Rugby, Jack Clark is an O.G.  Pretty sure he got shot once when he was younger and still beat up the dude that did it (or so the story goes).  

This is bound to happen in non-baseball cities. They just don't know how to behave.
