Well, as a Texan, I believe this to be a reasonable outcome. I think it’s possible that after thoroughly kicking the Astros’ butts, the Phillies will burn down part of Minute Maid Park and we’ll preserve the rest as a museum. The Astros will then use it as motivation in the future. They’ll eventually get folded into another team and some of their fans will forever resent it. Eventually the Astros will be led by an incompetent and unjustifiably righteous asshole in a wheelchair who will let all the Astros die in an unexpected snow storm. Fin.

I get chills every time I watch this. It meant so much as a fan, especially after everything that came before it. The feeling I had after this and the subsequent game is what makes me happy for any of my friends/acquaintances that root for a long suffering team and see them win it all. This applies even to teams I hate. Fuck the Mariners, but once they actually win it all I’ll be super happy for their asshole fans like @Ender and @cez. It will be well deserved and will bring them joy.

Seeing Kliff Kingsbury interviewed on TNF made me think back to his unrivaled run at USC. Good times.

That’s weird. I wonder what their actual policy is. Our mask requirement was lifted today based on transmission levels in our county. We’ll reassess every two weeks. It was nice to see some faces outside of the break room. The next county over has a higher transmission rate, so a hospital in our system that’s there still has a mask requirement.

Andor, Episode 6 That is the best episode of Star Wars television. Perhaps there are a couple of Mandalorian eps as good. Using Star Wars as a vehicle for this kind of content is great. Also, it’s notable that the use of Tie Fighters in this is their most menacing appearance in all of Star Wars. Sure, they’re cool when they’re flying loops and shooting lasers in space battles, but the way they effectively project the oppression of the empire with mere flyover patrols is great. This is the kind of shit they should have been doing. Much better than nonstop space wizards.
