At the end of the day playoffs or not I’ll be happy if the organization is improving to a point where they can be a sustainable winner for the foreseeable future.

Yep, we've definitely been missing and needing a Alpha leader type for the pitching staff and Syndergaard is that guy. 

Hopefully we'll have him here for more than one season, actually him and Lorenzen.

I don't know when was the last time they had 7 shutouts in 32 games, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was when Ryan,and Tanana, were in their prime, and maybe not even then.

That would be one of my guesses, the other would be when they had Chuck Finley, Mark Langston and Jim Abbot.

What a great game, what a fun season it's been so far.

It's really nice to have some pitching to go along with these bats. 

Trying to remember when we've had this kind of pitching maybe back when we had Chuck Finley, Mark Langston, Jim Abbot, Kirk McCaskill and Bryan Harvey closing. 

Hopefully they can keep this going.

It would also be improvement defensively because they really miss his glove when he's not in the lineup. He should have won a gold glove last year.
