The difference from 21 to 1 at the catcher position is 2.6 WAR. The difference from 28 to 1 at the 1B position is 6.2, the difference at 3B from 28 to 1 is 8.9 (have a year Matt Chapman). The difference from 19 to 1 in SP is 12.9.  We actually have better SP than Texas, Oakland, and Seattle but even though we are ranked 11th in RP, we have the worst bullpen in the AL West which puts are overall pitching behind both Oakland and Seattle. RF is a 9.2 WAR difference but a June through September year from Calhoun would put us in the top 5 or 6 on the season and would most likely have us at the second or third best OF in the league.  

Nothing too revealing in these stats that we do not know about.  Splits this year has Pujols with a .790 OPS at DH and a .640 OPS at 1B.  Even though he is better at DH it is nothing close to Ohtani's .957 OPS. 

If Ohtani can DH full time next year, the team has decisions.

Can you rely on the current group of fragile arms to piece together another season?

Are you going to pay Pujols to be one of the worst 1B in the league or are you going to try to upgrade?

Cozart should be back and healthy.  Did Fletcher do enough to earn a starting job at 2B and keep Cozart at 3B? A year of Cozart at 3B would have put us much higher in the yearly rankings.  Valbueana had the most PA at 3B this year.

I've finally made it out to some owlz games these past couple of weeks. Knowles is a stud. Only 17 too. Love the kid. Hit two bombs last night. I'm at the game right now. K'd twice tonight.

Seriously though, the throw by bedrock was putrid. The charge by pujols the play before on the infield single was laughable. 

How long until opposing teams shift everyone to the right field line on Ward? He's a one trick pony. 

We really could have used Ward's 1.000 OBP all season. 

Jerez looked decent. That was great to see. 

The last home game of the year when the game ends Scioscia should walk out of the dugout and the crowd should all tip their cap and then pull a book out and turn the page. Then Jeppy should walk out to the mound and show us one last time how well the ball can come out of a players hand. 

This is what we have to look forward to for the rest of the 2018 season. 

Seeing Marte and Valbuena PH/sub for each other in three of the last four games is pretty depressing.

Although Adell has made a rapid ascent through the Angels' farm system, Scioscia thinks it's still too early to consider him part of the club's depth chart at the Major League level.

I am not saying Adell should be in the show but it made me chuckle reading that quote and then tuning into the game last night and watching Valbuena, Marte, and EY Jr. show their stuff at the Trop last night. 

Cowart should really not be sitting at this point.  Let him hit .180 for the rest of the year so we can cut that guy next year along with Valbuena.  

Any pitcher who gives up a hit to Valbuena should be DFA'd

He could have offered it at the same time. Cozart said he was originally agreed to play second base and before he got on the plane to finalize his contract Eppert asked him if he would be willing to play 3b because they got a deal for kinsler, if he didn't want to switch they would turn down the trade. Cozart agreed and the trade went through. 

Maybe eppler offered cozart 2nd base and mouse 3b, then when mouse (boras) said "no" eppler inquired about kinsler and switched Cozart to third. 

Something no one has mentioned is that quite possibly the Angels saw Ohtani take BP in person and said "yeah, Cron is never going to DH when Ohtani is available". 

Maybe they were waiting to see him in person and he delivered big time and Cron was basically useless buried behind ohtani and pujols' contract 

Hope his feet and legs are not just completely shot at this point and the weight loss helps him endure the season
