That was one of his more coordinated examples and yes he had balance and control issues sending several pitches to the backstop. The 66ers radar gun is always questionable, it clocked that pitch at 95 but no way is was going that fast. Hell, the radar gun posted the National Anthem at 46 mph.
A relief pitcher for the Dodgers had a posted 103 on the gun. Make sure to drive 10 miles under the limit out there, I think the gun is on loan from the San Bernardino Police.

Not really enough info for a primer, but here's the basic gist.
Jose Reyes - 6'2" 180 lbs. Very smooth lefty swing and can hit to all fields. Corner outfielder, very smart, intuitive player. Does not project to have much power.
Rainier Rivas - 6'3" 215 lbs. Just a beast at age 16/17. Plus power to all fields and a plus arm. Very raw hitter. Puts on a show during BP which is ultimately what led to the Angels signing him, though for less money than they'd hoped.
Raider Uceta - 6'0" 220 lbs. Also a beastly teenager. Plus power, natural lift, but will sell out his power for base hits a la CJ Cron at times. Does not need to swing hard to deposit balls over the wall. Slow footed, average arm at best. Future 1B.
As far as the stateside guys go....
Trent Deveaux - You guys know as much as I do probably. 70-80 grade speed. Loose swing, good bat speed, exceptional athlete. Definitely a CF thoughhis routes and first step could use some work. Projects to have some power down the road. Highly intelligent young man that speaks several languages a la Andrelton Simmons. Natural leader with high expectations.
D'Shawn Knowles - Very good defensive CF with excellent contact and plate discipline. Luis Valbuena type of clubhouse character that everyone likes. Flashy personality but humble and selfless.
Orlando Martinez- 20 years old from Cuba. In one scout's opinion, the best teenage hitter to come out of Cuba in years, and that includes Luis Robert. Short, small in stature and not projectable, but great contact, great plate discipline, decent speed. A comp would actually be like a young JMF but not as much pop.

Deveaux used to stand very upright with an open stance.  Almost like an old man softball league batting stance.  He's since squared up with the pitcher and bent his knees more, with less of a stride and more of a load.

We're also going to need to consider putting Jared Walsh in the Top 30 as well.  He's 24, old for a prospect, but if he keeps hitting like this, he could be a late bloomer that breaks into the majors.  Maybe a comp would be Justin Bour?

Having Jose Soriano is basically the equivalent of having an additional first round from last year. He's 19, sitting in the mid-90's and projects into the middle or front of a rotation or the back of a bullpen.
That's what having international presence does for an organization.
    Dipoto was stupid.

Fletcher is a high floor, lower ceiling prospect, and Gus like that tend to need less time in the minors.
Fletcher likely won't be an all-star, but he will either be a very good utility player or a passable starting 2B. As for if he's ready or not, I'll just say that AAA clearly wasn't a challenge for him, and there's no level left in the minors for him to develop at.
He's as ready as minor league baseball can make a player.
He'll be a spark plug, but he'll also have stretched where he provides nothing at the plate. It's all part of the learning process.

Make no mistake, the Angels AAA offense this year is better than their major league offense. Trout, Upton, Simmons and Ohtani are all good, but Valbuena, Cozart, Pujols, Marte, Maldonado, Calhoun were all garbage.
By contrast, the AAA squad has featured JMF, Fletcher, Thaiss, Ward, Hermosillo, Liriano, Blash, Revere, Carter...
If you could remove all exterior influences and just went with the guys that play the best, we'd have Ward at 3B, Fletch at SS, Thaiss at 1B, JMF at DH, Blash in RF....

Second Base got a reaction from Torridd in L.A. times article about possible Trout extension
The Angels have put themselves in a good position with Trout.
He's had mentors like Torii Hunter and Albert Pujols to help guide his formative years in the league, he plays for a large market team but small enough to keep him out of the spotlight, they've spent money in free agency but have money to spend right now, Trout is the highest paid major leaguer right now as part of the Angels, they've surrounded him with talent like Ohtani and Simmons, and they have a crop of extremely talented prospects coming up like Thaiss, Suarez, Canning, Adell, Marsh, Jones, that will keep this team competitive for years to come.  He's the face of the franchise and Arte will spend whatever it takes to keep the best player maybe ever in Angel red.
There's literally only one thing that would cause Mike Trout to sign with another team, he wants to play back on the east coast.
I think Trout stays in an Angels jersey.
