He was such a mainstay on the college football board. His presence was really missed on that topic. He wasn’t just a UCLA fan, he was a total sports fan. The man just knew everything about everything.

Thanks to a great 96 yard punt return, that sparked the Bills and Josh Allen made a great run on a 3rd and 13 to make a critical first down. He does throw a ton of TD’s, but it seems every time I DO watch the Bills, Allen seems to do some bone headed things (especially in the Red Zone) that jeopardizes the game.

I’m not sure how pundits continue to spew about how great Josh Allen is. The guy is a fucking turnover machine. He continuously forces throws into coverage, and when he does attempt to step up into the pocket, he gets the ball stripped more times than I can count. He has his moments, but every time the Bills need him to win a big game, he disappears. He’s dogshit under pressure.

I posted this in the New Years Eve thread, but thought @Redondo, @gotbeeror others might like it. It’s the New Years Eve tradition in Big Bear at Snow Summit. It’s called Torches at Night, and they send 200 skiers down with lighted torches. They used to do it at Midnight, but not anymore. Thats just too damn late, and too damn cold.

A little later than last year, but we finally got a taste of winter today. 3-4 inches (which will melt by later today) but at least the resorts can use the help.

Do some of you remember the Shohei Ohtani that played damn near every game the last 2 years in the dog days of late August and all September when some of his teammates decided to shut it down and plan for next season? The same Shohei who potentially risked his pitching career when he elected to pitch a meaningless game for which he had no reason to pitch in because of his pure competitive nature? The same Shohei who gave countless Angels fans and their kids memories that they will never forget? Root for him? Probably not, because of the team he signed with, but no one in their right mind will be “booing” him in Angels Stadium. No way, no how.

This is still one of the biggest mysteries I’ve ever come across. It’s stunning.

We get those bad boys in Big Bear all the time. The only thing I really worry about is that they make a nest under our porch and the parents come after our dog. I can’t really do anything about the scavenging, that’s just what they do. But damn, they are testy. Gotta be careful around them.
