  1. The first thing that Jack-hole Stephen A. Smith says that means anything will be his first. I wish Bob Iger had the balls to give him a pink slip like he did with the others.
  2. For all the people that complain about Patrick Cantlay and his glacial pace of play, they must never have had to play with Brian Harman. I’ll admit, I’ve never had much of chance to watch him play, but dear Lord…. His pace of play makes Cantlay look like a speed golfer. He takes no less than a dozen waggles before he pulls the trigger. Shades of Sergio Garcia when people actually cared about him.
  3. So @Jasonhas us set up in the back in the old pool area. We have server service so no need to go to the bar. It’s warm, so don’t bring a jacket @Chuckster70
  4. As @Blargpointed out earlier, Fleetwood is a great Thursday to Saturday player. He tends to fold up on Sunday. With that being said, he said in his press conference that he is really enjoying and relying on his home crowd to carry him like they have for the first 36 holes. He’s looking confident, 1 putted the last 5 greens today. He most certainly can’t keep that up, but with inclement weather coming in tonight, this leaderboard is going to be a roller coaster over the weekend. By the way, Scheffler makes birdie on 18 to make the cut. Good for him.
  5. Thanks @Jeff Fletcher. Sometimes I miss the forum for a couple days and its hard to catch up on all the reading.
  6. Where is Brandon Drury? Last I heard was his MRI was negative, which would suggest he has no significant damage. Any updates on when he may potentially be back @Jeff Fletcher?
  7. Not sure if this is the right topic for this, but it’s a very interesting article. https://abc7.com/society/mystery-company-buys-$800m-of-land-near-travis-afb/13529716/
  8. I like Rahm, but he can be kind of a bitch about some things. Get over it, Jon. You get the same treatment at the Spanish Open. https://www.sbnation.com/golf/2023/7/20/23802554/open-championship-jon-rahm-nuclear-fans-media-disregard-rory-mcilroy
  9. Tyrell Hatton went from -2 to +2 with a 9 on 18 also. I’ll give it to him, he didn’t cuss to many times, but his green side reaction was pretty good, using his putter as a rifle and shooting back at the tee box. His press conference should be a hoot.
  10. Rickie Fowler ends his first round by hitting TWO out of bounds on 18 for a triple bogey 8 to finish 1 over. Ouch
  11. An MLB record of 12 teams scored 10+ runs tonight. And it could have been even better as the Padres scored 9. The most runs ever scored in a single day in MLB history. Thanks to Patrick Sandoval for not letting those A-hole Yankees get even close.
  12. I’ll be honest. After the game on Saturday, I was pretty stoked about how the Angels fought back against the Asstros. Then Sunday happened, and I still, mentally, can’t get over how shitty that game was. Now we’ve won 2 straight against the hated Yankees, and I can’t stop going back to Sunday’s game, thinking…..fuck. Had we been able to win that game, we’d be riding a 4 game win streak and morale would probably be even higher than it is right now. I’m glad the players are, hopefully, in a better place mentally. But damn…I wish we won that game on Sunday though.
  13. I’d assume guys like Leo Mazzone, Mel Stottlemeyer, and a few others with great pitchers under their wings were probably paid pretty well. Hell, Mike Maddox is probably paid handsomely also. I don’t know what the going rate is for a tier 1 pitching coach, but I highly doubt the Angels pay that rate.
  14. Finally. A guaranteed series win. Seems like freaking forever. Great pitching effort by everyone. Offense did the job. No coaching or managerial blunders…. Great win against the Yanks tonight
  15. Sandoval knows he pitched his ass off tonight, and he absolutely knows what this bullpen is capable of. He looks a little bummed and a tad concerned
  16. Let’s see if Sandoval can get out of the 3rd unscathed. It’s been his kryptonite inning this year.
  17. Rory showed up huge last week, especially what he did on #17 and #18, the 2 hardest holes on the course, making birdie on both to win. I like him, but it’s a tall task to win 2 in a row. Tyrell Hatton simply runs too hot but he’s a good long shot pick. Koepka says all the right things at press conferences, I think he’s got a shot to back up all his talk this week. Justin Rose?? I’m gonna put a few bucks on him.
