    Had to dust this off, it’s been awhile. Good pitching from Giolito. Moose , Drury and Rengifo had good nights at the plate. Finally got off the Schneid. Light it up

    Is it too much to ask for a clean 1-2-3 inning? The Angels have 7 runs on 12 hits. For most teams, that would be enough.

    The bullpen is simply atrocious. Another 2 strike pitch hit out of the park.

    Well the answer was yes to Loup, but he elected to not pull Loup, and of course right on cue, Loup gave up a hit to the right handed pinch hitter.

    Will Nevin play the lefty/lefty odds and have Loup start the next inning against Joc Pederson?

    While Chad Wallach doesn’t do much offensively, his pitch framing is far superior to Matt Thaiss. He has got Giolito no less than 5-6 strike calls that were clearly off the plate.

    That's some bad company the 2023 Angels are in danger of joining. It looks like the Angels are good at blowing up someone's individual accomplishments.

    Johnny Ray.... I used to love that guy. Bengie Molina is on my list. We just haven't had the stability behind the plate since he left.

    I’ve noticed this quite a bit also @Blarg. Conservative is a good description. I’m just wondering if it has to do with his injury from last year, and not wanting to repeat that.

    If the umpire is going to continue to call the high strike out of the zone, I’d assume the Angels are going to have to swing at that shit out of the zone.

    An absolutely beautiful approach by Moose to go opposite field there. Awesome swing. Unfortunately, it leaves the Angels with 2nd and 3rd with less than 2 outs. Their kryptonite

    Maybe Perry walked under a ladder or had a black cat cross his path? I mean how else can you explain this run of bad luck the last 38 games? Lost lucky rabbit foot? I just can’t figure it out.

    I know the offense doesn’t give the pitching staff, especially the bullpen any wiggle room, but another game where an Angels reliever gave up another late inning run to make the difference in the game. I hate to say it, but the pen hasn’t been able to throw up zero’s, and our record has been shit lately in close games.
