What in holy hell is going on this week? While I didn’t know @Brandonnearly as much as I did with @Lou, it still hurts knowing that another AW friend and poster is gone. As @ten ocho recon scoutstated earlier, baseball is just a game. This site brings fans together, and has spawned friendships that will last years. It’s been a really tough week, but it will get better. Very sad week.

Yeah @Lhalothe wife and I are kicking the idea around of canceling or trying to go to Kahai instead. Problem is, we were bringing the kids and grandkids with us as a big family trip, celebrating my retirement. We love Maui, and have been there almost 10 times. Like you said, and as the pictures show, all of our favorite places in Lahaina are gone. We were staying in Kaanapali, but still love to venture into Lahaina to check out places like Fleetwood’s, and the marina district. They will rebuild, but they can never recapture the character that City used to have, and that’s tragic. We haven’t decided yet, but our trip was scheduled for Sept 17th. So sad and so tragic.

Historic Front Street is history, there is no cell service, only satellite service, and the fire was 3.6 miles away from Kaanapali. Son of a bitch

@Lou, I know you didn’t live in the Bixby Knolls area (I know where you lived, buddy) but the wife and I happened to be in Long Beach and this place reminded me of @Blargand the old school posters who always had an inside joke of Long Beach and Bixby Knolls.
