  1. I think Thaiss is a little much. Possibly Walsh as well.
  2. Bundy and Cole won't cut it. Need a Wheeler/Bumgarner/Ryu to even start a discussion about playoffs. I'm happy with trading for Bundy (if it's a low prospect), as long as that doesn't impact our pursuit of Cole and Wheeler at all.
  3. If healthy I think Heaney is a better option than Bundy don't you think?
  4. If he slotted in right now with who we have he'd be a #4. I'd go Ohtani, Heaney, Canning, Bundy. It all depends what the Orioles need in return. I'd be willing to part with Jones and something less for Bundy, but I also think he only fits with the Angels if they go with a 6-man rotation. Cole, Wheeler, Ohtani, Heaney, Canning, Bundy. That leaves the Angels major depth options like Sandoval, Suarez, Barria, Peters.
  5. Zach Davies had a good season last year. Good to see the Padres getting some pitching. I love any team in the NL West not named the Dodgers.
  6. My god imagine if Trout started to know the pitch coming.... that would be even more scary of how good he'd be
  7. Angels starters WAR from 2019 based on most innings pitched... Cahill: -0.4 Pena: 0.8 Heaney: 1.0 Canning: 1.1 Barria: -0.5 Suarez: -1.2 Total: 0.8 I'd say 17.6WAR is one hell of an upgrade. Get it done, Eppler.
  8. If it was actually realistic then it'd be one hell of a steal for the Angels.
  9. Good point. If the Angels believe that and this coming season Adams can prove that then that makes Marsh moveable. Still, they should let Marsh build more value and allow Adams to do the same.
  10. That simulator must be off a little cuz this trade matches up perfectly based on their values: Angels get: Wilson Contreras (16.20 value) Cubs get: Justin Anderson (6.9) Jahmai Jones (6.6) Taylor Ward (2.7) ---Total value: 16.20--- If this is true (which it isn't) then that's a HUGE steal for the Angels. Ward and Jones likely don't have a spot on the depth chart with the Angels.
  11. Right now, I'd trade Adams. If Adams can put on about 15 pounds to get to 195 and add some arm strength then I'm all in for him. He's fast enough now that adding on extra muscle weight won't hurt him at all plus it'll protect his body for a long season. I agree that they should wait to trade either and let their value rise. That's why they should spend the money now while keeping the farm in tact and then asses the trading options either at the deadline or in the offseason.
  12. I'll throw a curveball at this one and say maybe you overpay for the second starter you get. Cole will get paid no matter what. Maybe you overpay a little for someone like Wheeler to take him away from Chicago and give our rotation a lethal 1-2-3 punch with Cole, Wheeler, Ohtani.
  13. I'm up for James McCann if they put him on the market. Could be costly in prospects though...
  14. Like i've been saying, I'll take Maldonado for one year to help with Gerrit Cole and Ohtani and to shut the running game down.
  15. Mistake avoided is how I see it. Glad we didn't get him.
  16. Watch Cozart win comeback player of the year. But I agree with what you're saying. They don't want to waste $12.76M so they gotta see what they can get out of it.
  17. We already talked about this in another thread. Old news.
  18. Didn’t they break this news at the GM Meetings? Old news..... next please
  19. Depends who we are trading for. I'd sign Cole as a #1 and Teheran as a #3 but then we better trade for one hell of a #2 guy or else it's back to the drawing board. But like previously mentioned, maybe having Maddon/Callaway as the leaders can help sway Wheeler to want to join Cole (assuming we sign him). Maybe reports of us interested in Wheeler are because they are telling him "hey, Cole wants to come to Anaheim and he wants you to join him with Maddon and Callaway.... And oh, Mike Trout.
