Dove for a trout grounder and landed hard.
I think he landed harder than the Angels have hit the ball.

Remember when the board thought canning was good?
He is...when his changeup is working.
Unfortunately, when it's not, his fastball is flat and will get hit.

That’s ok, rendon is going to have 5 rbis this game.
That'll be a tall order with another 0-for...

Canning not sharp with his control. Terrible buzz killer.

They need to try someone else at leadoff.
Yeah, Rendon and his *checks notes* .050 OPS is not exactly a great fit for the leadoff spot...

Lets wait until Silseth pitches tomorrow before we let him join Detmers in the Angels “ace” club.
After tomorrow, we will know if he is potential bobblehead material.
Yeah, on second thought, I retract my statement. Silseth has come down with Patrick Sandoval Syndrome.
-
Can we just have a rotation of Detmers & Silseth, plz?

That was a long time ago.
Imagine if the 5-10 year rebuild had started then...

Can we just have fun? I'm not telling people how to "fan" or whatever, but constant negativity is getting quite old and tired. Yes, Arte sucks and needs to sell the team. But how about we just enjoy some Angels baseball? I see probably more negativity on social media than I do here. However, it's just growing tiresome.
Hard to enjoy being outscored 24-7 in the first two games of the year. There are no rose-colored glasses that can fix that.

I’m positive this team sucks.

They're wrong, though. I posted earlier than Lon Warneke did it in 1934. He threw a complete game, only allowed 1 hit, and K'ed 13.
The stat they posted also included allowing 0 walks, which is something that Warneke apparently did not do.

Burnes with 11 K through 6 innings. At or near the top in Oriole pitcher history on opening day.
But I thought they were supposed to strike out less and put the ball in play...

Man Sandoval is awful. So glad we didn’t pick up Snell or Montgomery or (especially) Bauer. I mean then we might’ve won some games early in the season. That wouldn’t be on brand for the Angels. We need to blow leads and lose.

You actually won the bet.

Suarez has looked much better than Sandoval.
Very low bar.

The Angels are having technical difficulties--with playing baseball.

I'm guessing that lead--for half an inning-will be the last one all weekend.

I was just thinking, "Saurez is actually looking pretty good today."
As was I. Right before that pitch.

Orioles keep getting these weakly hit singles and the Angels can't even put the ball in play. Pretty much last season, redux. At least we won't get no hit today lol
Nope. We'll get one-hit.

Love how he said he came to be a season ticket holder because *I was involved with the lady who had this seat*. So...he screwed his way to the top?
