  1. With those numbers, if they keep going the way they are, he could be at Nolasco numbers at year three. Pass.
  2. Well he didn't last long...
  3. I wouldn't mind Cobb or Lynn signing but no trading, we need our depth in the farm. Eppler has been superman so far and a Cobb or Lynn signing and a Reed or Davis signing would set us up in the remaining areas.
  4. I think they should just roll with Hermosillo, he's played all positions in the outfield and knows what he's doing and that 35 stolen bases in the minors last season is looking good, dude can move for pinch runs as well.
  5. I've been touting Nunez for a few months now, I really hope the Angels at least give him an offer and if he does sign the only question is how is his knee.
  6. That's funny, was just outside thinking this same exact thing.
  7. Turned on MLB TV, listened to two guys yelling over each other, didn't know MLB Network is now a political station.
  8. Would be cool, and will be much cheaper then Darvish but the question is what would the Nats want for him. Maybe toss them both Skaggs and Bridwell.
  9. What about Gio in the rotation. Apparently according to MLB Trade Rumors they may use him as a trade chip for controlled talent but I don't want to lose Barria and/or Adell. He only has one year left on his contract of $12M. http://www.masnsports.com/nationals-pastime/2017/12/could-nationals-dangle-gio-gonzalez-in-trade-talks.html
  10. More porn, love watching this video.
  11. I think the thing that would be appealing on coming to the Angels if I was Ohtani is if he was a pitcher/outfielder, he would be out there with Trout and Upton and he has one hell of an arm out there, the only issue is you'd have to rest him the days around the day he pitched and we can't use him as a DH for known reasons. The Dodgers already have a log jam of pitchers and outfielders and if he pays attention to MLB he would know what kind of GM Dipoto is, the Rangers are more of a threat to grab him, Padres will just trade him later when he's worth too much. But all in all it matters what Eppler and Arte slide under the table.
  12. If he can't play in 2018, the good part is we can keep him around with putting him on the 60-day DL since he's on the 40 man roster. He has a great arm and I hope his arm will be just as good after all this.
  13. RIP Roy, you had a great career over a span of 16 seasons and have numbers that are Hall of Fame worthy. Tonight you are an angel up there on that heavenly baseball field facing the likes of Gehrig, Ruth, Clemente, Mantle and all the other greats that have passed throughout the years. My condolences to the family and friends of Roy, God bless.
  14. Resign Petit, he ran empty because he was tired at the end of the season but he is depth in our pen. Resign Young, he is a perfect pinch runner and plays well in the field, many will think why Young, but remember he IS a bench player who will have 15 PA's a month (if that), but he can run around the bases and steal. As for C.C. NO!
  15. Now we will see Eppler's power at hand, I would try to get at least Dee then go from there.
  16. Good for the Astros, first WS rings. You know Houston is partying like we did in 2002 and they have a good young team. The Astros are a thorn in our side but you have to admire the talent they have on their team. I tip my cap to them. And as for Reagin - Dipoto, both were shit, PERIOD, why are we arguing about who was shittier?
  17. Manny Mota pinched hit for the Dodgers when he was a coach during the early 80's so why not.
  18. yes, having a team that's never won a WS after being in the league since 1962 and keeping the Yanks out is inconceivable for the network. They will, it will be like a "Cinderella story" for the broadcasters. "They are trying to win for everyone in Houston who was affected by Hurricane Harvey".
  19. But do remember we have an owner and manager who LOVE guys old and past their prime, granted CC went 14-5 this season, I think if he signed with the Angels he will go 5-0 with a 2.60 ERA, then require career ending TJ surgery and we get stuck with his contract for the three years left on it worth $24M a year because Angels baseball.
  20. LOL I think McCullers almost said fuck in his interview but realized he was on national tv.
  21. I guess the only thing I'd look forward to is if the Yankees win, we'd see an old school rivalry that dates back to the 1940s when the Dodgers played in Brooklyn and kept losing to their "big brother". They only won one WS out of the six times against the Yankees while in Brooklyn in the WS.
  22. Funny note on this, Yates, in the one game he pitched for us this season according to Spotrac only made $2,923 in adjusted salary.
  23. I'm just having fun with this thread since only the Angels know who is on their list but I wouldn't mind seeing Garret Anderson as the hitting coach, once Huston is tossed out Garret can reclaim his rightful #16 in the process. Seeing that number on Conger a few years ago made me cringe. Garret worked his ass off for the organization for 15 years and I think would be very insightful toward our hitters. But I still agree we should get someone with coaching experience.
  24. We can go through stats and say this and say that, it all comes down to what Eppler wants on his roster and right now I'm going to ride the wave with him and see what happens, I think this will be a fun off season for us unless we just go with a mid 30's Adam Rosales, which sadly Arte will probably be dreaming about tonight.
  25. If Alvarez is non-tendered, I'd like to see them give Ege another shot as the bp lefty (if he's healthy), But then again he did have a typical Angel pitcher arm injury of a flexor strain which probably kept him from getting his contract purchased in September.
