At this point I would be fine with keeping Trout and Ohtani and our pitching staff (especially our starters) and dumping everybody else on this baseball team and finding 8 new infielders. I'm so sick of our gutless offense staring at strikes and swinging at balls and costing our fine starting pitchers marks in the win column.

I REALLY thought Walsh would pick it up but it seems the funk of the team has affected his performance in the box, and he is just watching WAY too many strikes and then getting in a hole with 2 strikes where he starts guessing like Marsh. I like the guy at 1st, great defense, but his at bats have become so predictable and his bat is downright painful to watch.

I’m high on our starters next year. We could have a decent rotation. Everything else, well let’s stick the positives…

I'm wondering if the Braves would do something like this:

    Ohtani, Marsh, Syndergaard and Fletcher

    for

Albies (comes off the IL in late Aug), Michael Harris III, Grissom (their #1 prospect), Soroka (comes off the IL in Sept, Muller (their 2nd best SP prospect) and Shuster their top SP prospect. If not Albies, maybe look at Wilson Contreras.

The thing that bothers me about these trade proposals is we can’t develop guys. I just can’t see a situation in where we win by trading Ohtani. Yet, I can’t see a situation where we win if we see him walk.

Good for them! They gave up their top three prospects, but that's what it takes to get a legit starting pitcher.

Dear God, my trip to Seattle keeps getting worse and worse.

Ohtani, Syndergaard and others could be gone by the time I go back next weekend, in addition to not having Trout.

I’m going too Chuck. Yet, they are still our Angels. I hope to see Ohtani. He has been injured to both series’ I’ve been too since he’s been an Angel.

I will always still be a fan. Coming from Saskatchewan Canada.

Extend Ohtani and we got Ohtani, Skubal, Sandoval, and Detmers anchoring the rotation for years along with all our good young pitching prospects.  I’d give up A LOT to make that happen

That’s a very good rotation. Or should be. I like those three guys of ours a lot. One of the few bright spots on this team.

I didn't say he shouldn't be frustrated.  I feel it is now effecting his game.   That is something that is new.

I sort of like the frustration….. or at least the passion. Mike is so vanilla. My biggest fear is for these guys to stop caring. I want to see a playoff game. We all do.

Part of the offensive problem is they don't try to manufacture runs and put pressure on the defense by Hit and run, bunts, steals etc.   They are sitting back and relying on home runs, hence the HR swing with two strikes and inevitable multiple "K's".

They have pretty good team speed, although not as fast as the Royals.

The starters need to get into the 7th inning.

The Angels just need to put more balls in play and when a guy gets on base, move him into scoring position.

On another note, the 1964 Phillies lost a 6.5 game lead with 12 games left to lose the pennant, so there is still plenty of time to make the playoffs.   Alot can happen between now and Sept.   So. Don't. panic

Amen. I miss the old Angels…. Good defence, quality AB’s, small ball.

you know good old fashioned baseball. I’m tired of this home run or nothin stuff.
