    Seriously.

Bellinger is on a tear. Dudes a beast.

But yellich is unreal. And hes been at it for like 3 years now? Thats the best of the trout clones off the top of my head.

But ones a dodger, ones a brewer...

Seriously wondering how the Marlins are doing in that trade? Did they get anything in return? I feel compassion for that fan base.

The interesting thing about this is that some sources like The Athletic are saying one of the reasons they were able to do this is because of the Zobrist situation.  So, the Cubs got Kimbrel in part because they had money become available when one of their players couldn't keep it in his pants, his wife found out, and he had to quit playing the game to get a divorce done...

    It's like Jerry Springer baseball.

I don’t think you are accurate at all. He is the one filing for divorce.

  3. Picture this.... 9-0 game and the home team is leading with two outs in the top of the ninth. Jared Weaver is looking for his for his first perfect game. The trouble is he can’t find the strike zone. The count is 3-1 and the pitch is way outside. Does the batter swing?

  4. With all do respect what do you guys mean with the words “too expensive?” 2019 was supposed to be our year we started to contend. Now it doesn’t look like 2020 will be the year we contend. What’s the difference between Harvey, Cahill, Allan, and Cozart compared to Gerrit Cole? All those names mentioned are guys that are “too expensive” If we want to win we are at a point where we have to overspend. I understand it is a business and there is money involved, we have the best player in baseball in his prime, and everyone seems to be complacent with an improved farm. Who cares. I want to win.

*** I’m not saying we overspend on mediocre talent, but the team needs an “ace.” You either do that buy overpaying in cash, or in prospects. Pick your poison. This mediocre crap is getting old.

Farm, La Stella, Goodwin, Robles, trading Kinsler for Buttrey, trading for Simmons, signing Ohtani, creating something that made Trout want to stay, development of Anderson, Cole, Fletcher, Barria, Walsh.  Drafting Canning, Adell.  Switching Ward from catcher to anywhere else which saw his bat come alive.

I am sure you know all of these things, but refuse to believe any of it.  Which is why you are getting criticized.  You look at his failures and assume he sucks.  We look at what he has done, and how he hasn’t burdened the team with lousy contracts and understand what he is doing.  So there it has been explained.

You are absolutely right. I ask when is the time in your opinion where we NEED to start winning?

    100k?  that's insane.

“When Derek Jeter knocked his 3,000th career hit out of the park in 2011, the ball landed in the hands of a 23-year-old cellphone salesman Christian Lopez. Lopez gave the ball, estimated to be worth between $250,000 and $300,000, back to the Yankees shortstop.”

Not insane enough. You should watch Zach Hample’s videos on YouTube sometime. He has made a living off of catching baseballs.

Over 99% of the world can't do what Cahill does and that's with him being as bad as he has been.

Mickey Mantle made $85,000 in 1961. That is equivalent to $716,604 in today’s dollars. 4 years later he was on the cover of Life Magazine. So no, I don’t believe a guy with a 6.95 ERA should be earning $9,000,000 in a year.

  8. I didn’t mind the Cahill signing when it happened. I thought he would help with a rotation of Skaggs, Heaney, and Harvey. But how disheartening is it for the Average Joe to see this guy get 9 million dollars a year? Over 99% of the worlds population won’t see that in their entire life.

Let's suck it up. Teams go through this sort of thing.

What do you consider the last 5 years? I don’t want to piss on your parade but this is a year I expected us to take a step forward. No, not a World Series ring. But win more then you lose? Maybe get in a wild card game? Absolutely.

    1. The season is 1 month old

    2. We have numerous players on the DL

    3. Did you really think the Angels were going to compete for a WS this year?

Angels are still a year or two away. I hate losing just as much as anybody but I mean half the pitching is hurt, 2 of our starting bats on the DL.. Angels have been in pretty much every game this past 2 weeks it's not like they are getting blown out.

***Trying to bring a little sunshine to this rain***

I love hearing this. In trying to be positive. But even if we are it would be nice to at-least be competitive.
